  1. @Hellzero, is it the 1000w @ 4ohm version that you have?

I'm buying this one for a Barefaced One10 I'm going to use for home practice and the rare bit of gigging duty when my 2 x BB2 are being used for PA duties.

But I was thinking about getting bigger Baby Sumo (Toddler Sumo?) for my normal gigging, and getting a really nice pre to go with it.  (Still tempted by a Noble...)

Their prices are no where near what they say they are. Speaking to them in store I’ve had Been offered the Attitude III for around £1.7k less than list price. And that’s just their offer without any harder negotiations. The sales guy said they won’t be beaten on price and will offer the lowest prices on Yamaha if you ask... Strange strategy to me, but makes making a deal with a real human the best option for once!

On holiday, so apologies for going back a few pages....

@TJ Spicer, were they doing deals on all basses?  I'm still thinking about a BB434 or BB734 to go with my BBP35...

Are we missing a bit of the story? :)

Sit down and make yourself comfortable....  I shouldn't post and watch TV at the same time!

I never had the pleasure of playing a 1025 or 2025, but I know they are seriously well regarded.  No idea personally how they compare to my BBP35 I'm afraid.  I just went by the internet reviews.

  4. My first guitar was a BB424X, which is a helluva lot of guitar for the money.  I then ended up with a few Fenders (American J, American P, and an AVRI J) and then this came up:  The Yamaha went along the way.

I then needed to pick up a five string for a few songs being added to our set such as No One Knows.  II was thinking about a 1025 or 2025 as my old teacher said that Fender Vs weren't as good as the four strings. And then this came up:

The neck is glorious and very flat and suits a low action.  Tonally it is massively versatile and the P bass tone when rolled off is lovely.  B string is good.  Really punchy bass and enormous sustain.

  5. I have just bought a rather beautiful Fender 70s Jazz from Del. Very easy to deal with, great communication, and he even popped to my workplace to drop it off on the way to Heathrow! Top guy and I'd absolutely recommend him. Looks a righteous dude on stage as well, based on the Facebook vids!
