Small Pedal Clear Out: Budda, BOSS & ThorpyFX
mrn1989 replied to mrn1989's topic in Effects For Sale
Regarding the Budda Chakra, I bought one based on the information here and it completely changed my mind about compressors. Before then, I had never used one live (usually built into amps) that I liked or found useful.
Same for me, its a great pedal for bass or guitar. Thanks @sharkfinger -
There is no right or wrong though, do whatever sounds right to you.
Exactly
-
Do you do this with your pickup, or keep it straight?
No props! I have it straight, inline with the body not the neck. I don't see a reason why you can't angle it with the neck I just don't see what difference there would be. I will check mine but I believe the pickup is straight with the body and the strings are an equal height on the E left and right side.
-
I angle my pickup close to the G and further away from the E to try and even out the sting volume. Im using an Aguilar pickup with flat pole pieces but still find it has a better balance than the original pu, even though i still angle it. I will take a pic and stick it up in a bit

-
well after all this waiting for it to arrive the order was cancelled and i was refunded! typical! going to have to look for a different seller and try them out. i had my bitsa P all dismantled ready for it to arrive so a bit bummed out! i am expecting to do a bit of work when/if i ever get one delivered in the future but that's part of the fun isn't it!
Mine came on Saturday, and it is fantastic I haven't needed to level the frets and the truss rod works fine as long as your ok with the dark tint on the neck id say go for it. It took 3 weeks http://www.ebay.co.u...K%3AMEBIDX%3AIT
9volts, no problem. might be a bit bright though on a dark stage.
Ok cool, bright is good lol
Like the man Bert says, should be fine. I don't think LEDs themselves give off RF interference, but controllers sometimes can. I would say the only way to know is to give it a bash. Best of luck!
Ok, cheers! i will stick a pic up when its done and let you know the results

Not bored me at all as I said any help is appreciated I did purchase them as they are cheap so no big deal if if doesn't work out, I was planning on running less than 1m worth in length as it is a tiny nano board with 3 maybe 4 pedals. I was hoping to use a spare socket from the daisy chain from the 1spot which puts out 1700ma so there's is probably still 1500ma or grunt left, after pedals, that I hoped would power them? The only other thing I read about was audio interference especially as I would be running off the same power supply for both pedals and lights?

I fancied sticking some strips on the base of my small board, but would I be able to power the 12V DC strips of 9V , would they just be dimmer? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/5M-300-LED-Under-Kitchen-Cupboard-Unit-IP65-Self-Adhesive-Strip-Lights-Tape-12V-/251445849639?var=550360590629&hash=item3a8b572e27:m:m6uRAi1jPtTtWBtVAjwJl9g Any help from somebody better educated than me would be appreciated
