1. Just received a twin pack of new, unused strings from Iain.
The transaction was a doodle, he was prompt and friendly with his comms, asked a very fair price for the strings and they were on my doormat 36 hours after I paid for them. What more can you ask for!

Cheers, Iain,

Sid.

2. Mike recently bought a pre-amp from me and it could not have been any easier.
He was quick to respond and friendly in his messages and paid for the p[re-amp as soon as I'd sent payment details through.
You can't ask for any more than that in a buyer!

3. Colin bought a gig bag and pickup from me and it couldn't have been easier, fast and friendly comms and he paid as soon as he had my details.
What more can you ask for???

Cheers Colin,

Sid.

4. Up for sale, an immaculate Sandberg branded padded gig bag. The only action the bag has seen was to bring a new bass back home. The bass itself now lives in a hard case.

The bag is in mint condition, it has no rips, tears, scrapes or other cosmetic marks. Padding is approximately 20-30 mm. All zips are in good working order. It features 2 zipped pockets on the front; one larger one that will fit an A4 folder or small light weight amp head, plus a smaller pocket for cables or other odds and sods. The smaller pocket has the Sandberg logo and tagline embroidered onto it. There's also 2 adjustable shoulder straps and 2 side mounted carrying handles with a handy velcro retainer.

I'm asking £30 delivered in the UK

5. Up for sale, a Sandberg MusicMan style Humbucker for a 4 string bass. It has been removed from a Sandberg Basic model bass.

Sandberg fit a lot of Delano pickups to their basses, I've no idea if 'Berg make their own pickups or if this is a re-badged Delano?
No doubt someone knowledgeable will be along to shed some light on this shortly….

6. Up for sale, a used Wizard Trad Precision pickup. You probably all know about these; warm, rich, classic vintage Precision tone.
On the back of the pickup, it is marked as 'Custom P/J' but this is definitely the Trad model.

Used but in good condition, some minor surface marks on the pickup casings and some superficial marks on the pole pieces but the unit is fully working.

7. Up for sale, a Glokenklang 3 band pre-amp. It has been removed from a Sandberg Basic model bass with a single MusicMan style Humbucker.
It features a volume, bass, middle and treble controls - I’m not sure if you run more than 1 pickup from it as there’s no blend pot.

There appears to be an intermittent fault with the unit where it can be a bit noisy in some situations/venues and perfectly quiet in others. This only happens in active mode, its quiet at all times in passive mode.
Don’t really know how to describe it other than that, it’s as though it picks up interference and is noisy. I had the bass fully shielded, tried different basses, batteries, cables etc. so I’m as sure as I can be that it is the pre-amp that is causing the issue.

Disclaimer - I’m no electronics expert and have no idea if this can be fixed or not. You have been warned ;)

How does £25 posted within the UK sound?

8. Mike recently bought a pre-amp from me and it was an absolute pleasure; fast and friendly communication and he also paid for it almost immediately after sending him my details.
Deal in confidence.

Cheers Mike,

Sid.

9. For sale, a used 3 band semi-parametric Pre-amp taken from an Ibanez SR1000 Prestige bass. The pickups in the bass are Bartolini's, but I do not know if the pre-amp is also a Bart' or something else, it has no branding on it to identify itself.
It has 4 controls; Volume, balance, stacked bass and treble and a stacked semi-parametric mid control. The 2 stacked pots are scratchy and need replacing (or at the very least, a good clean). Each stacked pot is attached to its own PCB by 6 lugs - I'm no whizz with a soldering iron so I'd rather not risk trying to replace them myself but if someone more clued up than me may be able to get it back up and running again.

10. For sale, an old, used Dod FX35 Octoplus pedal.

THIS PEDAL IS NOT IN WORKING ORDER AND IS BEING SOLD FOR SPARES OR REPAIR.

I bought this new sometime in the 80's and have been its sole owner to date. Obviously considering its age, it has its fair share of knocks and scrapes. One of the original knobs is missing too.
These pedals seem to be pretty highly regarded by a few bassists, so if anyone is an electronics whizz they may be able to get it back up and running again.
