Pretty certain this is a carbon/graphite neck, just not made by Modulus like the earlier ones?

Always wanted one of these, lovely looking bass.

I have heard a couple of things seem to remember someone saying it was just a change in colour in the lacquer so still is a carbon wrap and then others say its more like a phenolic material but either way they are great necks

  2. Peavey USA Gbass

35" scale 4 string bass plays amazing looks like a Modulus but at a fraction of the cost.

In my opinion, the G-bass is the most underrated bass Peavey has ever made. Professional quality, Made in USA, killer 18v electronics, Gotoh hardware, hipshot tuners.

This is the later version with the composite not carbon (modulus made) earlier version but don't let that put you off these are incredible basses.

Sounds and plays great will be sorry to let it go but needs must.

    35" scale

    1.5" nut

    3 band EQ.

    18v electronics

    Roughly 3.7kg

    Sparkle finish

    Great condition

     gig bag

  4. Just let my Barefaced cabs go to Steve.

As with the majority of Basschaters I have dealt with Steve was super nice, trustworthy and the transaction simple and smooth.

Hoping the cabs serve you well for years to come was a pleasure to chat with you 👍

  5. Again didn't think I would be doing this but needs must.

For sale are a pair of barefaced super mini Ts

Don't really need to tell you much about barefaced but the cabs are 8ohm, 600watts and stupidly light and loud.

Have only been used a couple of times at the  rehearsal rooms but If your after a gigging setup that would handle all situations small to large this is a great solution.

Clear and articulent what you put in is what comes out.

The cabs are mint come with optional with covers first one I purchased slightly before the other and still has super midget on the cover but that's the only difference.

    Specs as the website.....

  6. My John Birch modded Gibson EB0 it's magic just has that something don't get me wrong it has quirks but just has that thing you can't quite pin down but works.

Throw a pedal or two at it and it is insane

    IMG_20220622_154848_HDR.jpg

  7. This is a very reluctant sale but I haven't used the head for a while so really struggling justify keeping it.

30w valve head that sounds amazing I had a LB30 sold it and missed it so got this one and sure I will regret letting it go as well.

I replaced all the valves last year and added rings it's hardly been used since if I'm honest

    Price drop before Christmas £345

  10.

This is my ACG SLG fretless bass shortscale

I'm extremely torn over letting this bass go as it was a build I commissioned for my birthday and it's a really special instrument.

I have been very lucky recently and found a new project that requires me to have a change in direction and instruments, I will really need a good in ear setup for a loud/heavy band and longer scale basses but it's a challenge I'm looking forward to and that's the only reason for the sale.

Ordered in 2022 Completed in Feb 2023.

    30.5"scale length

    Black Limba body

AI black Art maple top with black veneer

    Matching headstock front and rear.

    5 piece paduak/wenge set neck

30 radius so on a short scale that's very flat which is great.

AI Mac Ebony fretboard with maple lines

    Blue luminlay side dots

    ACG hipshot bridge

    Gotoh tuners

    BZ1 pickup bridge

    PB pickup neck

    Passive Vol/4way tone/3way switch

Battery box if you want to upgrade to active.

    Straplocks

    Hardcase.

    Weight- 4kg on my scales

Bass is in excellent condition no significant marks on it at all

As I said reluctantly selling I'm open to close offers not really looking for trades currently as I need specific items for my new project.

Collection and testing preferred but would consider posting if that's the only option.

£1295 considering taking this for commission sale or maybe seeing what is on offer for it from the retail side so if you like it might be your last chance to get hold of this amazing bass at this sort of money.

  11. (only up for sale as another instrument is available if that sells I will remove this bass as with my other listing)

    5-string Stingray from 1998.

Natural finish I have been playing this bass a lot recently you could class it as road worn. (Genuine play wear on a 26year old bass)

Its got a few marks a bit of age related wear here and there and some dirt (I have cleaned and oiled it but prob needs another good going over) Have tried to show the condition in the photos it's just a really nice playing bass for the age! The action is low, the sound is massive and cuts like a stingray should.

    Truss rod works.

    17.5mm spacing on these.

    USA 1998

Scale length: 34" (86.36 cm) Ash body I think with Maple

If you need a 5string and want that stingray sound you would be hard pressed to find a better one (seem to be loads on here ATM but don't let that put you off they really work in bands and cut the mix like little else)IMG_20240614_151358_HDR.thumb.jpg.cfe844240cb5c0f4415fa31c9e90c973.jpgIMG_20240614_151406_HDR.thumb.jpg.cdcc736209bbc6b81f6bb1064f878704.jpg

Don't have the original case but can come with a hardcase as pictured again seen some use but fully functioning.

Feel free to ask any questions.

We can discuss collection/postage or meeting etc now £1450

  12. I didn't think this day would come but I have decided to part with my Guild Starfire due to a new project and a bass being available that I think would fit the bill (if that bass sells I will remove this from sale)

This is a USA Westerly made Guild from the late 90s not a Newark reissue. These guilds were limited in numbers and I have only seen a handful available for sale.

The guild website link states they have gaps in serial number date but Starfire 4 (they do not list a Starfire II) in 1996 end at AG000219 and Starfire II start in 1997 at AG300001 so my guess would be late 1996 but I cannot prove this.

The bass is all original to my knowledge in amazing condition just some slight pitting/tarnishing on hardware no dents or big marks just some light scratches and tiny marks it really is a stunning bass.

The flame maple has some really lovely figuring in the light.

Currently strung with old flats it has a really lovely thump but with some newer strings I found it quite versatile. (Great for that BRMC style riff or get your JMJ vibes going)

Bass weight is around 4.30/4.40kg on my scales  which I think is down to the woods/center block but on a wide strap you don't notice it

It's a semi hollow flame maple body, sides and back with a mahogany/maple/mahogany neck short 30 3/4" scale. Grover tuners, metal saddle bridge and Guild pickups. Comes with its case one key, hang tag and book.

Well the shell pink Sandberg Lionel didn't end up in my possession so I picked this up instead.

It looks like it's been reliced by Scooby Doo wearing a blindfold but it plays beautifully, sounds fab (passive electronics) and weighs under 7.5lbs. Love it

Looks really good Sandberg do some really great basses (sold a longscale California beatsteaks) keep looking at Lionel's glad this has gone from bass direct now although they have a black/tort Lionel pj that's very tempting
