Honestly I´m in the fortunate position of not [i]needing[/i] anything right now, so I´ll consider just about everything. Should be with a bit of cash my way, as my original intent in selling this bass is to partly refinance my new F-Bass. It´s 35" scale, by the way. I live in a particularly nice area of Germany, so if you fancy a visit...

If I sold this as new nobody would notice - it has no signs of wear and tear in any form. In fact it´s a few years old but hasn´t seen much action - I do prefer my BN-6 if I ever play 6-string at all, which I mostly do at home for fun anyway. Specs: beautiful flamed maple top graphite neck (of course) with truss rod Bartolini pickups Aguilar 3-band eq stringspacing is 17mm at the bridge 4,6kg, well balanced on a strap Modulus hardcase (not graphite) included I´m asking 1800,- Euro, which is about £1550.- at the moment. Great bass! George´s BNs have an excellent balance on the strap which particularly helps with the playability of the six-string bass. I´ve upgraded my rig to the fantastic Bad Bull 700, so my equally fantastic Black Jag Classic 700 has to go. Joking aside, it´s a great amp with tone and power, but the all-valve preamp of the Bull is even better... It has only one spot where the covering is smooth as opposed to the regular slighty rougher texture. Got a bit of heat from a PAR can, after cooling off the covering settled that way... Some later Pro II were built by Shadow but rumour has it that quality wasn´t adequate, leading to the abandoning of the whole Pro II series.

Don´t think this is true drool material, did them rather in a hurry before rushing off to work. Anyway: here you go! You will notice: - slight pitting on the upper horn (from wearing a wrist watch while tapping?) - slight belt buckle rash on the back but nothing dramatic - the fretboard seems to have been cleaned at some time using wire wool (the frets need a little cleaning, but that´s just superficial) - as with a lot of old Warwicks that have an opaque finish instead of oil and wax the serial number is illegible apart from the first two letters That´s it, it plays like a dream, sounds great and with a little effort it should be possible to reduce all the wear to almost nothing. Gentleman in France is very interested but has to sell his Lakland Darryl Jones 5 first.

Now thanks for pointing THAT out. Stuart, I also have the Dolphin Pro II with bolt-on neck and JJ pickups - won´t sell that one!

I´ll take some more pics - should be able to do so tomorrow! As far as I know all of the very early Dolphins are like that. I heard rumours that Pascal Mulot suggested the colour but he doesn´t remember...

It just doesn´t get the attention it deserves, so here´s your chance of picking up an early Dolphin Pro I. Plays and sounds great with an unbelieveably low action. It does have some scratches (more pics on request) but overall it´s still in very good shape. The old indestructible Warwick flightcase is included. The only previous owner was one of the first endorsers of the company who got the bass for a photoshooting and didn´t use it much afterwards. The Studio has a 20 fret neck, the BN has two frets more. According to George Furlanetto the Studio has more mass at the body and thus more low midrange punch - though I never missed any of that on my F-Bass.
