1. Hiya,

Again, I'm currently mulling over gear change so may want to sell my current valve rig:

1 x Ampeg USA SVT 300 - 300w all valve power amp monster
    1 x Ampeg USA SVP-Pro - again all valve pre-amp
    1 x 6 U rack (bought off a fellow basschatter)

Put together you've basically got the full classic SVT head. Any one interested in buying this set-up complete ? I've got an idea in my head of what kind of price i'm after...

This said, I'm after an SVT 70's reissue head but not a non-us product so I may keep this lot !!!

PM me any offers or requests for futher info !!!

To each their own, and inspired by a Judi Dench film - someone has obviously gone to a lot of trouble.

    Thats a tough question.

I originally saw this set up as a more 'upmarket' version of a standard SS power-amp with Sansamp Bass Driver match, having seen the Norwegian band 'Span' a few months before use this and really loved their bassists' sound. In rehearsal rooms it was mint - stone cold old school fat valve to aggressive driven SVT tone, couldn't be happier. Come gigging, could never really capture the tone - tried everything (different cabs, different basses).

About 5 gigs later...got fustrated and sold it, as you do. Doh. Wish I'd of kept it.

Eventually bought a £24 Behringer BDI21 (sansamp clone ?) and love that !

    Matthew
