  1. The absolute WORST way of doing this is to get a body painted white and stick some Electrician Blac Tape cutted in squares.

Don't laugh, I bought a P-BAss that had a Pickguard made this way.

Although, come to think of it that's how Eddie VanHalen decored his geetars.

Otherwise, you'll need to have a good base coat, then a white paint. and afterwards, you'll have to use a *lot* of masking tape, spray black, waith for it to dry, then use a lot of masking tape for the second part and paint black.

As showed on the video above, y'oull also need to cover the sides as it'll be difficult to align everything properly.

So you're talking about a rather long process. You might find some 3M covering that might do the job, although not too easy to apply on the curved parts.

  2. Maybe your singer lead guitarist will be happy to add another arrow in his quiver with your band. You might continue a bit even if it's on the side for him, as you already know each other and your set.

Don't give up anyway. It's always depressing when a band ends, and there's always a new one coming up.

Competent, hard-working bassists are kinda hard to find, so you still have a good chance 🙂

  3. PIcked one up - very late to the party, I know.

It's a real nice piece of kit, the A channel is really blooming the sound up, the passive Bass/Treble controls are quite efficient and not everbearing when everything is on 10.

Spend a good hour trying to dial a nice tone with the B channel and the Hot Cold Fusion, but none were satisfying sadly. Being incredibly Anal with the Dirt sound, it's no surprise. It's a shame though 'cuz I really wanted this one to work and be able to just bring this to gigs and voilà. Definetely worth the price seeing the quality and possibilities, definetely not worth it for me to only use one channel.

  4. Well. I came to the band with the intention to play Woman From Tokyo, but it was the TM Stevens Version.

Soft Cell's version of "Tainted Love" is probably now considered the "go to" version with the majority of the population not knowing it was by Mrs Marc Bolan.

It's actually Marylin Manson's version that is the Go To nowadays. 🙂

I went to Tallin about ten years ago and it was very reasonable, both to get there and spending whilst out there. An interesting place.

Also, the Russian border is only a 40 minute drive away from the venue for the event, which could be interesting in the current climate...!

I was there last end of August, no worries nor problems were had.

I honestly diud not realize until my Brother told me I was crazy 🙂

  6. I registered for this year's edition again, and I can't recommend enough the trip if you can.

Last year with Craig Blundell and Alex Skolnick and Mohini Dey was exceptionnal.

This year, drums duty will be in the hands of Dennis Chambers, so it's a great opportunity to improve your groove.
