  1. I paid a small fortune for my Spector Euro Fade Black LT 3 years ago. Out of all my basses i play it the least due to its fat neck but it sits in the mix with a band better than most of my other basses so there is some serious love there. I am however selling it for £1800 at the moment. I was offered a Warwick Thumb 4 string limited edition 2006 as a trade and am very tempted as I have moved more towards the low end Warwick tone the last few years despite loving both brands for various reasons. I am on the fence. Warwick resale values seem awful and my luthier often complains about old Wicks having twisted necks .. also the Euro LT has a better resale value. I cannot however overlook the fact that as a p bass lover and warwick lover that this offer may be something I should reconsider.. Any one have any experience with the 2006? Thanks all

  4. Love this! I have a GB 12.2 I picked up second hand.. great head. I run it through two 2-10s BF cabs.. I am no fanboy however of BF. They are up for sale
  5. Thanks fella, makes sense. I bought them however for my recording studio - wanted light weight articulate top of the line 10's primarily for enjoyment, and if needed for gigging if they could hold their own then that is a big plus. I have ampeg cabs and some back breaking gear for live shows however. So having to break them in as such is a bit of a let down. I cranked them last night through a valve head and a louder volumes not impressed either, but they are loud as hell. They do sound better through my genz benz solid state Anyway thanks for commenting!
  6. Yes you are correct, 4 and 12 ohms switchable.. Sorry I thought I would have got notifications of responses to my posts so I could answer in a decent amount of time, but have not received any notifications.
  7. Sold sold sold 3 months old, for sale or trade. Original boxes, never left recording studio. Immaculate, cost £1260. Apparently BF are increasing the prices on their gear as you read this according to their staff. I am seeking super tight enclosures that are incredibly articulate but can also hold its own on stage, modular preferred. Open to trades (Eden vanderkley some ampeg.. let me know what you got! P basses always considered too..)

  9. Hi all, I dont post stuff here for sale much, hopefully I am doing this correctly. I am more interested in trades to be honest. I am seeking Spector US or Euro 5 string LT or LX and have a like new (aside from a few scratches on the headstock) Fender US 4 string Pbass. It has EMG Geezer Butler pickups, sounds great, is in excellent condition (I play 5's mostly now days so this hangs on the wall). I also have the orginal pups to include. Ideally I am seeking a Spector Neck Thru Euro or US bass, I recently acquired a 4 string neck thru Euro LX and fell in love with the sound and brand. So there it is.. :) Hope to hear from you

  14. Hi All I am an experienced 47 year old American bassist based in Medway area seeking a great band to join. Top notch gear, transport. Played LA in my earlier years, toured the UK previously. Looking to write great songs and work with inspiring people, gig, possibly tour as well. Gear: Fender Jaguar, Fender P, Musicman, Orange and Ampeg (depending on my mood but mostly orange nowdays:) At the risk of sounding like a industry twat, I have great stage presence, image, strong business acumen, no booze just mary jane ( no pisshead bands please) and am a strong riff writer. Experienced in different tunings. I am a live performer, so bands that are primarily digitally oriented arent really my bag. Influences include Stoner Rock, Alternative Metal, Grunge Rock, Alternative Rock. Edgy and dirty. I was raised on Judas Priest, Kiss and Blondie, but am influenced by bassists such as Jimmy Bain, Steve Harris, Cliff Burton. I due tend to write with a lot of funk and groove and was heavily involved and influenced by sounds of the Nu Metal era - I enjoy down tuning and love stoner rock Influences bandwise- monster magnet, mastodon, high on fire/orange goblin type of stoner metal, metallica, I love GARBAGE, Johnny Cash, Willie Nelson, Queensryche**!, and more.. wide variety .. I am a metal guy at heart with a keen interest on creating something soulful, innovative and most of all fun to play
