1. Evening all,

Making way for a beautiful Lakland Daryl Jones, I'm selling up a few basses and this is the first one on the block. What you are looking at is a 2007 Geddy Lee Jazz Bass, purchased from Sounds Live in Newcastle sometime last summer. I purchased this after having passed on my American Precision. It's stringed with TI Flats and sounds fantastic - with the thin glossed neck and 70s spacing pickups, it's got a unique sound with plenty of punch.

It's been my practising bass since then to weekly band practises but has only been a backup for one gig. It's got a small ding on the bottom but that's pretty much it. I've have it with the pickguard off but will white guard will be included. Comes with deluxe Fender gig bag (not pictured but standard).

Looking for around £500 - pickup from Durham, UK but happy to post. Will get a quote on request, guessing it will be around £25.00 or so. Not looking for any trades either - let me know any questions. This has been a great bass to me but I'm simply moving up to my dream combo ;)

  2. I did a swap on these forums a few months ago and got this lovely beast from a fellow near me. As I said in the title, it's an American Fender, manufactured in 2003 in good condition with one slight dent on the bottom. Apart from that, it's perfect. Currently got some Rotosound 77s flatwounds and it plays like a beauty, ideal for classic Stax or Pink Floyd playing. The body is Butterscotch Blonde with black pick guard, with a maple neck.

I'm selling because I've got a new gig and need a Jazz Bass (again) and need this done by the middle of September and will have to take the eBay path if I can't get something sorted. Happy to ship or pickup from Newcastle in the North East. Comes with hard case, cable and yellow/black Fender strap.

Looking forward around £450 for this. I'm thinking of going for a Geddy Lee Jazz Bass so I'd be willing to swap for one of these or a similar Jazz. I've got some photos but I'm at work so will upload them later today. PM me if you have any questions.

  3.
very nice this is my ideal jazz almost if i wasnt left handed i would be after it.

my parents live in wolsingham which is only a half hour from durham. small world

    good luck with sale
It was a lovely bass but I have fallen in love with my new swap so it's longer available people! I've got a 2003 American Precision from a local fellow. Precision + Flats is the best bass sound I have ever heard and played with, much nicer than anything I got from Jazz.

Thanks for all the PMs and interest I have received.

    Seb

  4. I bought this in January 2008 for my move to my first [i]proper[/i' bass and I have very much enjoyed it. It's had no gigging - just practicing and a few studio sessions but I've always lusted after a Rickenbacker 4003 or a good old Fender P-Bass and feel that it's time to get something that'll work better for me. It's going to be sad saying goodbye but I feel a Ric or P will provide more thump for the sort of thing I want to do (British Invasion, Modern Indie stuff and 70s rock)

It's pretty standard - two very mighty pickups and beautiful slim maple neck. Has a £30.00 pair of D'Addario Chromes on and plays like a beauty - was set up professionally for £25.00. Was bought for £800+ from a local guitar shop in North East of England. Original tags will be included.

If you'd like to make an offer (instead of trade), please feel free and make it realistic! As I said, I'd love a Rickenbacker (age doesn't matter, must be genuine) or a P-Bass (American? Classic of some sorts?). If you have any questions, please feel free to email me. Can be picked up from Durham, DH1 or posted in some form. Pictures galore....
