    I find the "When composing and executing such pieces, how does one know when it's over?" question a fascinating one.

    I'm currently working with another musician and a technologist that will result in a collaborative piece of music indeterminate in length. It'll always be running, the exact same motifs will never be heard together more than once and you, the listener will choose exactly when you start listening to the piece, for how long, and when you stop listening.

    I find the philosophy and the basic technological challenges behind such projects fascinating. When complete, the results will be published on a dedicated web site.

    This link will take you to a piece I recorded when these ideas started to form in my head a few years back. While it is indeterminate in a way, it does require manual intervention from the listener. You can decide which loop to play, when, where in the loop you'd like to start it and where in the loop you'd like to stop it.

    Yep Mac Mini... Or how about a second hand MacBook Pro? I saw a 2011 one sell on eBay for £450. And I'm pretty sure someone on here had an October 2010 one available for £400.

    To be honest I think I generally agree with you. Also I have found the high C to be more useful than the low B...

    I guess I was just surprised at how straightforward it actually was switching from a 4 - I thought it'd take ages to get used to a non-4 and I let that put me off trying extended range basses in the past...

    What is it about die hard MM owner's.?

    Yes, I agree completely that these Limelights somehow "feel" worn in
    They are just so comfortable to play
    I don't quite know how Mark manages to get that worn-in feel & finish, but he's got it just right

    I love the '63 Fiesta Red (my YOB)
    But I have a rather nice Squier, in that colour

    I really want a maple fretboard, but they didn't do one in '63....

    What should I do? - and before anyone suggests it - I can't have more than one
    I already have too many basses, and am flogging my MM to make way for a Limelight

    PS. I once owned an early 70's P - and I found the neck way too chunky
    and was put off Fenders for a very long time - now I love them..... with renewed enthusiasm!
