  1. Hi Hutton,

Sorry I didn't get back to you, I didn't think to respond as your message was just telling me about a bass you used to own. Thanks for the info on it and I have responded to you now on that message.

    Thanks

  2. It was always such a pleasure to to a see Nick and do deals through the shop, one of those guys that I genuinely really enjoyed chatting to and always had a laugh about his dislike/phobia of red basses. You'll be missed mate

    RIP Nick

Personally I’d be telling him to do one mate.

    Hi,

We (Bassbros) are a registered business/ physical shop, not sure why you'd think we're out to scam people but understand there's a lot of individuals doing this sort of thing. Just to be clear also, we were contacted by the OP and asked to purchase his bass. Believe me it's more sketchy us paying random people money before receiving a bass! If it's someone we have worked with, etc before it's a different story. There's plenty of feedback to go off on the internet and here. That being said it has to be something both parties are confident with so if you're worried about it then best to leave it or come up in person when you can.

    Thanks

Sounds like I'm in a minority - but I contacted Bass Bros with all the details and photos etc of a bass I was hoping to sell via them, and never heard back.  The bass was since sold elsewhere.

Sorry to hear this, we do try and reply to everything as it comes through. If it was missed or didn't come through for some reason I do apologise.

    Me too.

They have some lovely looking stock.

I can’t seem to open the returns policy, but see in this thread they will take gear back.    👍

Is it just me or can others open it?

It is quite unusual to see pricing to two decimal places on such high value items! Might look neater if removed? That’s my OCD for you!

Yes we seem to have problems with the returns policy showing up, I'll look into that and see what's going on.

Great idea about the pricing! I have spoken to our web guys and they'll take off those decimal places, you're right it would look neater! Thanks for the observation!

I like the fact that listings for all amps, cabinets and effects on the site include a statement detailing 'A professional setup will be carried out on this bass'.

Yes that is something my website guys are meant to be sorting out. Should be sorted soon, I know it looks a bit ridiculous on an amp listing 😂

Even the "mighty" Bass Bros aren't immune to supplying the wrong information.

This 8-string Kramer is listed as having 20 frets and being 34" scale, when you can clearly see that it has 24 frets and which means that it is 30" scale.

Thanks for pointing that out, occasionally there are mistakes/typos on the site. I will update it now. Feel free to let me know directly should you have any issues on the site again.

    Thanks

Think that font size is still in need of a tweak.

On a more serious note, I find that a lot of the listings leave me feeling that I'm too unknowledgeable to be shopping there, as if I'm supposed to know already which Stingrays have 1⅝" nuts; which MIJ Fenders have 7¼" radius; which years of American Standards have the thingy pickups etc.

And this sense that the action is mostly experienced players selling well known 4-figure basses puts me off wanting to sell my own cheaper, less eye-catching basses through Bassbros, despite having had an 11/10 experience with them when buying.

That sounds like a sulky note to end on, so instead let me finish by telling you that the setup on the MIJ P which sadly wasn't for me was really beautifully done. I hope whoever ended up with that 8 lb 0, deep-CAR PB62 is very happy with it :)

@Ricky Rioli thanks for the screenshot, in the future send them to me directly and I can look into any issues. I’ll take a look into why that has come up like that. It’s not normally displayed like that on any of the browsers I’m using so I’ll investigate further!

Not sure why you’re put off selling, we sell plenty of ‘cheaper’ basses and just because we have other more expensive ones that’s just variety. If you go through our basses page there’s plenty of variety. It’s definitely not just experienced bass players we cater for. We do try to keep a good range so there’s something for everyone.

Thank you for the words about your previous good experience! Hope to speak again soon! :)

My feedback is that I've no idea where they're based, and it doesn't say on the website.  Anyone know?

  10. Hi guys,

Will from Bassbros here. The site went live late last night (while I was on a gig). There’s a few things that still need to be added/changed. So please bear with us while this is sorted.

There’s no marketing ploy or any other negative connotation I can assure you before the speculation goes any further! There are just some functions that will be re-added in the coming weeks as the structure of the site itself has changed a lot.

    Thanks

    Will

Hi mega bass amp. When was it built? Are you the original owner? Has it had a lot of use? Many thanks

Not sure when it was built, I will try and check the serial number though. I'm not but have owned it for the last few years and it's been faultless! I've toured it once and used it in studio, etc. It has been looked over and serviced by my tech, who says its all perfect. Cheers

Absolutely lovely and quite an early one by the look of it. High qualty AX7 in the gain stage and same AU7 at the back end and the finest big touring amp ever built IMO (I prefer these to the 751). GLWTS - happy new owner awaits

Exactly mate! They are stunning quality, my tech said the exact same thing. I’ve toured this and it’s simply fantastic. Never a let down!
