1.
Crying is for girls, Chas. The Musicman Bongo is a bass for a man's man. Especially in black.
XD hopefully I get to keep this then, it will make me even more manly!
 2.
I'm absolutely gutted for Chas that heis forced to sell this bass due to being incapacitated, because I know how much he likes it. Just as a bit of background, I was the original owner of this bass from brand new. was kept as a spare and virtually unplayed for all the time I had it. It must have left the factory in early 2012, and when Chas received it from me a month ago it was literally just like brand new, and it looks like Chas has kept it like that. This is a beautiful example of these fantastic basses- the gloss black looks stunningly sleek when you see it in the flesh- and the sound matches the elegant but slightly menacing appearance. If you want to be heard in the mix, no what kind of music you are playing, a Bongo will give you that. One of the very best basses on the market at any price, in my opinion, and you won't find a better example than this one
Couldn't if said it any better. Think I might cry!
 3.
Ah, so you've finally caved in then (I was the guy who asked you on Tumblr LOL). GLWTS
Hey man ! Yeah I caved. I can't stand to think that it's going to sit in the case and it's not going to be used, Im flogging most of my solid body basses that I can't pickup. Was in an accident the other week and have done some permanent damage to my back, so it's looking bleak for bass playing at the minute!
 4. I really don't want to do this, I've only had this about a month! This bass is still brand new. I bought this from Dingus not long ago, exceptional seller and an exceptional bass! Recently been in an accident and didn't realise that I'm not going to be able use this anymore.. (think I'm switching to chambered basses). Glad I don't have my Alembic anymore because that weighed three times as much. Anyway as I'm pretty much incapable of using it for the foreseeable future plus have been only able to play my acoustic bass I should probably sell it to someone who will use it. As for trades at the minute I'm not really interested, I'd like a cash sale I'm in no rush to sell, if I'm able to pick this up within the next few months I'm keeping her ! Maple neck, rosewood fretboard with half moon inlays, basswood body, MM neodymium Polepiece bongo pups. One of the best playing basses I've owned. Comes with Bongo Hard case, grey pearloid pickguard spare and all the MM case candy. Cheers guys
 5. Nice woods but that is UG-LY! Bet she sounds killer though!
 6.
I don't usually like pickup covers on Jazz Basses but they work really well in this case.
This bass just works with the vintage feel
 7. So this is my blowtorched hand stained ash jazz. I've got to admit with it being excessively gigged time hasn't been kind to the satin finish, so one evening it got...refinished. plus the fact I drilled a hole too many for the bridge ashtray. All the cosmetic wear adds mojo though I believe. It sounds killer and the rumour is these had custom shop wound pickups? Not too sure, anyway, ash body, rosewood fingerboard, maple neck. Passive. Can't go wrong! This bass is really a beater with mojo. I really honestly love it dearly and will be gutted if/when it goes. It's not in terrible shape so don't think when i say "beater" I neglect it, it's very well looked after. But the kind of beater as in its been royally used and abused, but plays like butter and sounds...well umph. Weight wise I'd probably put it at 8lb's 5oz from memory but I'm not sure. Cheers
 8.
Has anyone here relic'd the back of their neck just to make it feel nice, (as opposed to just looking old?) Every time I pick up a nicely relic'd guitar or bass I find myself wishing the necks on mine were like that. The thick poly varnish on my bass and guitar neck shows no sign of wear even after 30 years!
Tape off the two points you don't want to exceed (just after the volute and where the neck meets the body) so you get a clean, even finish. Then take some Very light grit sand paper, (or you can wet and dry it) and go at it! After you've sanded you'll be left with scratches, I've found to get the really smooth, worn in feel, Halfords sell these pretty cool abrasive polishing pads that have a very fine layer of steel wool in them, they remove scratches and then polish with a microfibre cloth, hey presto worn in
 9. I'm not a Pbass guy but this is one of the best sounding basses I've heard!
 10.
Love the colour. Unfortunately, I'm more useless than nick clegg. I often think of learning guitar, with something cheap. Unfortunately, times are hard. Have a bump. Glwts
Thanks man
 11.
Will do kiddo, but don't hold your breath Why not grab a gorgeous Sei instead! It has a nicer neck than the Dinger....
Not a fretless man, yet I'm getting rid of a few bits to fund a Dingwall
 12.
Cheers bud. The Dingwall is a peach, no plans to move her on at the moment...but I say that about a lot of basses!
If you're looking to move it on, give me first refusal
 13.
Few interested trade offers but still available folks. Cash still preferred, £1,600 ONO
Beautiful Sei Kev. I'm still jealous of your Dingwall!
 14.
Go ahead, you'll never regret it, I promise
I was hoping to make a proposition on your bass but i wouldn't be able to afford it after all my splurging!
 15.
Price dropped to 2500£ !!!
Really want this in my possession XD I caught the Dingwall GAS bug!
 16.
Is this bass still for sale?
If your interested in one within the UK mines available. Great basses, so versatile.
 17.
It's all fun and games until some hillbilly tells you that you've got a pretty mouth...
Ah dear I'm in stitches!
 18.
I'm a big fan but I'm very poor at it myself. My son plays some banjo in his gypsy-folk-dub band Euphony. He's got an Ozark of some kind with a closed back.
I'm planning on sticking at it, but I imagine it's going to be a hard trip to even learn the basics!
