1.
Have you removed the bridge ferrules on the back of the body and sanded there? You should probably post a couple of decent resolution photos of the front and back so it's totally clear what you have done.
People can see what's been done. - no ferrules haven't been removed nor have they been sanded over. I have left that area alone for the buyer to decide what is to happen there. What is your problem? No need to be so short and also give me grief over inbox, the bass is the bass. If you don't like it, don't bother inboxing me or posting on my thread please.
 2. Btw folks it's been sanded since the two pics so there's even less to do on all the tricky bits. Just probs needs a whizz over again and she'll be rather clean. £460- collected, with USA Jazz Body, neck, all hardware (pups etc) aswell as case and candy + ashtrays
 3.
been jonesing for a jazz for aaages, that's starting to get perilously close to my price bracket
Well I'm open to offers as I'm strapped for cash, that's the only reason I'm not keeping it and sanded it down
 4.
JBF, I've put a link to this on a couple of Facebook pages, just in case you get an enquiry and you are not sure where it's come from Bargain for anybody handy with a spray can
Your legend bud!
 5. Still sanding. Would prefer to sell as full bass. £480 for the lot.
 6.
so no hardware at all in this new deal?
Yeah you get all of it
 7. £480 for neck body, case + case candy and ashtrays. Aswell as two pickguards.
 8.
I reckon you should keep it mate! For me you can't beat the the new design U.S. Standard Fender Jazz Basses
If I was going to keep it I was happy at it blowtorched -.- I need the cash desperate so it's gotta go! I only sanded it all off because everyone was having a bf about it! It's ready to be either refinished or waxed after one more go over with the sander. All the tricky bits still left on In the photos are now gone
 9. To the top. £550 for a USA Fender Jazz blowtorched or not is a bargain.
 10.
Honestly, that's probably a good idea. Most people like a natural finish and this is obviously a love/hate thing as is.
Yeah. If someone is a definite sale at it natural I'll do it and beeswax it.
 11. Does it take me to get my sander out and get this to natural to sell it?
 12.
It's the same finish as the FSR P bass I had, and I sold it on as you only ave to breathe on it and it dents.
Finally someone who knows what a ballache this finish was.
 13.

I see it as an upgrade to the finish in my opinion. I don't claim it to be an upgrade. For a few hours with a Sander £550 is a bargain for a USA Fender Jazz.
 14.
I agree - £550 and a few hours with a sander and some sandpaper and somebody's got a very affordable US Fender. Lots of people prefer Jazzes without scratchplates anyway...
Exactly!
 15.
Sorry I misread, this thread mentions relic. The for sale ad described it as a refinish or upgrade. I refinished and upgraded my toast earlier today. Was it an intentional refinish? Genuine question
"I've got to admit with it being excessively gigged time hasn't been kind to the satin finish, so one evening it got...refinished." -technically it is an upgrade to the finish because as stated it wasn't very hard wearing. Was quite prone to pressure marks and indents because it was quite a soft way of finishing a bass. Knowhere do I claim it to be an "upgrade" in any of my adverts either on here or gumtree. Frankly people can be p*ssy about it but at the end of the day it comes down to personal preference. No I just accidentally picked up my blowtorch and scorched it.
 16.
Such a shame - I don't get why you'd do that to a bass, especially if you ever plan to sell it, but each to their own. "it's very well looked after"
It is looked after. It's not neglected or purposely thrown/smashed against walls. It's still a USA fender jazz afterall. So it's not purposely uncared for. Also I was never actually planning on selling it. But money troubles get the best of us!
 17.
I love that the blurb contains more information about wear and dings than the fact its been set on fire! I think an unburnt pickguard would really make it look a lot better.
That's why two are included in the sale. A New one and the burnt one. Aswell as ashtrays. Tis all a matter of preference.
 18.
I strangely really like that.
Thanks man she plays and sounds like a dream!
 19.
Its already for sale on here. I'm kinda lost as to why someone would and then call it a relic. It's f*ckin burnt !!?
It's not relic'd! Where does it say relic'd on the ad?
