2. o A rare status empathy 5 in excellent condition .I bought this bass in May last year from here, i've only used it once hence looking to sell it to somebody who's going to play it. Its a full through neck, built in 2000 with maple front and back facings and a mahogany core, it comes with the status Hiscox light flight case. The only blemish is repaired chip in the lacquer at the lower edge on the back of the neck, about the 12th fret. It seems a shame its hardly been played. £1600 +p&p reduced £1300 posted. I could only get two photo's to upload, so if anyone wants more just PM and i'll e-mail them. Cheers
 3. Little Mark II , 500 watts.I've owned it from new, aprox four years. During this time its done a couple of pub gigs and a few rehearsals, i was so impressed i bought the F1 a couple of weeks later. Its now only used in the house after spending a while as back up to the F1 ( no point really, both amps are 100% reliable). Surface marks are just from sticking other equipment on top of it. Great amp, great sound. Any question, just ask. Price £325 +p&p ono reduced £310 +p&p Cheers
 4. I've owned this from new , bought it around 97. I used it for a few jazz rehearsals and as a practice amp at home for a couple of years, since then its seen very little usage, spending most of its life in its gig bag stored in the cupboard under the stairs. It's a excellent little amp with a fantastic reputation, plenty of reviews online etc.It also has the added benefit of the GK gig bag and the GK footswitch,i've found the Mark Bass tweeter is great in adding top end giving it more of a hi fi sound. As you can see from the photo's ( if i've managed to upload them correctly!)there are a couple of minor scratches but nothing that would affect its performance. The amps located in the North East if anyone wants to try it. Price £475 +p&p ono Cheers . 6.
What gigs do you play? What music do you play? What bass do you play? What gear did you have prior to the Barefaced? What tone do you mainly use? Do you mainly use 1 and add the other for larger gigs? What difference in sound do you get by using 2 as opposed to 1? Any chance of a review? I'd be very interested. Cheers
OK, Functions , weddings and bigger pubs, rock/pop covers.Nothing special, just your usual weekend band. Several Overwater 5 strings , Jazz's, progress 35's and 36's . I still have my Bergantinos ht+hx112er, mark bass f1 & LM11. Also eden head with eden 410 xst. Tone , very clean, exteme Hi-fI with a lot of top end. I appreciate this set up is not to everyones taste! Always use the two cabs, if read Alex's spec on the Big baby he clearly states that these cab's have low sensitivity, hence you do need loads of power to drive them. If you wanted one cab to play a jazz or cafe gig you'd be fine. Alex would advise you on requirements , but one of these is only equivelent to a 1x12. Using the head with the Eden 410 would produce a stupid amount of volume, but you would not have the clarity. The Berg's are very good speakers and louder, however, the bigbabies produce a much cleaner sound. Yes, they fill the room with the same tone exactly as Alex claims. The bottom end is extemely clean and does not drop off , the 36" basses sound fantastic, possibly a bit too much ! They are ridiculously light , wouldn't like to drop one in case it shattered. Pro's and con's . I have knocked off a couple of the rubber feet whist moving them in and out of the van , but they screw on ok. Overall i'm very happy with them.
 7.
What amp do you use with it?
Blacksmith, plenty of power
 8.
Isn't one enough? Why two Big Babys rather than the BB and the matching sub?
Its the sound that i wanted, and i does sound very good indead. Takes a lot of power , but you can't have it always .
 9.
THe Compact seems to be the best seller out of the Barefaced range but we don't hear a lot about the Big Baby. The idea of the extra punch from that midrange driver appeals to me so I wondered if anyone is using one
Yes, infact i use two.
 10. yes the amp comes with the case, as shown in the photos.
