1. This could be the pedal to knock my Multicomp off the board... will it be a Cali76 beater?
2. I've been trying to get this right for a few years now, with varying degrees of success. I used to use a splitter box into a VTbass and send that to FOH, worked well but it did effect the low end in a way that I couldn't fix (kind of fairly wide cut around the 500Hz region). At the moment I prefer to use the VLE vintage loudspeaker emulator filter on the Markbass LMiii. I use this with the VPF scoop control and works really well, many engineers have complimented the sound. This technique suffers at the hands of the cabinet though, the more full range the cab the better this technique works. I am still searching for the tidiest way to do it, as I personally prefer bass cabinets with no tweeters at all. I am curious to try out the Two-notes audio and AMT electronics impulse response loaders, load in a nice 8x10 and you're rocking...
3. Does anywhere still stock the older, taller versions of the neo cabs? I really want the matching 2x12, but I'm aware that the new versions won't stack well with my one. I've also been told that the series-iii cabs are tuned slightly higher, any truth in this? What should I do to complete my full stack?
4. I have the MK I version of the 2x12, which is a little taller and skinner than the Neo 212-iii posted above; It's a really great cab, and gets very loud with my 1001rb or LMIII. You may only need one, but I'm at the stage where I'm considering buying a second one...
5. Hey everyone! My name is Terry, and I'm from Belfast in Northern Ireland. I've been lurking here for ages, but I felt I should join in! I'm also on talkbass under the same name. I use a GK 1001rb with a Neo 2x12, a load of pedals, and a Geddy with steelwounds. I play bass for the Rupture Dogs, a 4-piece alt-rock/grunge band - you can find us on https://www.facebook.com/therupturedogs Hopefully I can see some of you pro guys gigging in the near future!
