Just a little tip for you but if you find something that is a bargain and fancy keeping it that way... don't tell the whole bass playing community on a public forum :)

FYI-I'm not in the slightest bit interested in the bass, but I thought that perhaps some other BCer might be interested to know about it.You know.On the EBAY LINKS forum!Thanx for the 'tip' though.

cool you got both though! :)

Just noticed it has a fender precision decal, I recognise it as I bought one of the same myself recently. I would take it off and get the right Jazz one. I'm sure I've still got the email/website address of this particular manufacturer (decal) give me a shout if you want too.

I'm glad my Bass is going to somebody who really wants it!The thing is,it really is a Precision, but I've seen a lot of comments both on this forum as well as Talkbass, that it can't be a P bass because it has J type pups.It has a P bass body, and scratchplate, albeit with different cutouts,so if nothing else,it's a conversation piece,a bit of an oddity if you like and I suppose a Jazz decal would add to that. But she's(all basses are female,by the way)definitely a Precision.

  4. Yeah,I understand what you are saying, guys, but when you've jammed with a guy, respected him as a fellow muso, and even regard him as a friend,it's a different story.Had it been some stranger,I wouldn't have entertained the idea. But there you go.As he said himself,he owes me one.But look at it this way,it gives you guys another chance to own this lovely thing.Come on.First £100.Its yours.Paypal welcome. You know it makes sense.

http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=...mp;hl=squier+p5 Remember this?A couple weeks ago?Guess what.I've got the blardy thing back again! The guy I sold it to came back to me with the story that he bought it for his 15 year old son,who has now taken a dislike to the overly wide neck.He asked nicely if I would buy it back for the same price. As i know the guy,and respect him as a fellow muso,I did.So its back up for sale.Yet again.Same price.Sigh............

  6. I have FrankenJazz bass, sunburst, tort pickguard, rosewood fingerboard, the works.I really like this bass but I feel that the neck is not as good as it could be.I've seen a neck on the Bay,but heres the problem. It's maple, with maple fingerboard and dot inlays.Has anyone ever seen a Jazz with this combination.I'm trying to imagine what it might look like.Any sunburst Jazz with a maple fingerboard usually has block inlays, but I've never seen one with dots.Thoughts anybody? Is there anybody out there who's good at Photoshop who could provide a sort of preview?Cheers guys. :)
