just to point out.....i tried markbass 802 combo a few weeks ago and i have to say,not as good as these mighty mini's.....i will be keeping mine!
-
bump.....price down to £85.....to include postage
-
i have always liked peavey gear....i owned a megabass head and megabox cab (115bw/208)..great little rig!...then later used a databass 450w combo(again a great little amp)
i'm hoping with this new range peavey have found their feet again!.....can't wait to try a mega mini....are these chinese made?...anyway..big thumbs up -
looking at the graph,it seems to me the delta 12lf is, for the price, a cracking driver! (a recommended replacement for aggie cab). All this begs the question are we expecting too much from the humble 12 inch driver?
-
i use a berg hs 210(now hd) and consider it to be excellent.....loud and punchy....compact,but a little heavy(not being neo)!!
-
i too, have a 130sm gp7....great little amp....may only be 130 watts....but these are big hairy arsed WATTS
I thank you -
i too am looking forward to this!....just for info...I swapped the 12 inch driver in my aguilar gs 112 for a eminence 3012 ho kappalite expecting good results!!....
all i can say is,i was unhappy with the sound(yes i know the stock driver is 4.8 xmax and 95db......3012 6.2 xmax and 100.5 db)...i found it only a small
amount louder than stock driver.....sound wise,it did not mesh well with tweeter and crossover...too aggressive in the mids and the bottom end not that
good.....3012 now back in the box!....returned cab back to standard and sounds great!.....i think correct cab design plays a large part .it seems the lesser
deltalite 2 might have been a better option(looking on talkbass)
regards....mark -
the epifani ul 410 s1 tips the scales at a very managable 57 lbs....nice cab!....B and C drivers as well
-
i use my lm 2 with aguilar gs 112(pair) and also berg hs 210(pair).....sounds great with either set up
also sounds good with one cab. -
if you want to know more about jim cairns......ask howard(the bass doc)....jim used to make a fair few necks when howard was
building basses, also jim used to make rather good pickups! -
hey kev.....have you got money burning a hole in your pockets?

and here was me thinking it was a bass collection....as In the BASS....haha
-
thanks for comments folks....yes! it is the whippets wedding tackle....but prefer mm basses
pm,s replied to.....will do my best to pics up -
up for grabs is my blade bass.....two piece medium weight natural swamp ash body, satin finish....maple finger board(haven't seen many with this!)
vintage reverse tuners...badass bridge....nice responsive bass...very good condition...few small scuffs but no finish missing.
will try to get pics up asap.......would trade plus cash for mm stingray or sterling -
saw two of these at the NE guitar show.....quite nice, but the neck joints(pockets) were poorly machined(just my opinion tho)
-
hi,what weight is the bass?
-
I tend to agree, the 751 has a slight edge tone wise....both fantastic amps though!.....the 750 had on off switch on the back,
which could break if rested down on it(if in flight case, not a problem)

yes,the world is your lobster....for me .....markbass two or three and a 112 or 210 aggie or berg....i have a berg hs 210 which is quite compact though not that
light(50 lbs) but worth it for the sound.
