3.
I prefer the look of the Lakland but I haven't a clue what they both sound/play like...
my lakland(1999) is really special infinit sustain nice warm bartolini sound plus 35 scale great low b , perfect neck really no issues , the only thing is, the high register has less volumen and and the g string has less punch , that is normal on 35 scale basses. the pavel jazz bass single cut deluxe has exactly what the lakland dont´n, lot of punch modern sound with those nordstrand neo blade , is extremly confortable to play , the only thing i dont like from the pavel : has to many options 3 band preamp 18v electronics paralell series etc etc and is way to sexy kind of too much . the riht thing too do is keep both because they are so diferent but i waiting a bass wich i order one year ago from a german luthier and this bass gona be more lakland style. cheers

 6. This one ist from a friend of mine : A very special and rare instrument made by Marcio Zaganin, probably the best guitar / bass luthier of Brazil whose instruments convinced many of the top brazilian guitar and bass players, Thiago Espirito Santo, Serginho Carvalho, Andre Rodrigues, Marcelo Mariano, Chico Pinheiro and many others. A nice oportunity to get such a Instrument in Europe (avoiding taxes, shipping from Brazil etc.), there are only a few around as far as i know. It is basically a jazzbass with some extras, neck through body construction offers impressive sustain, and very woody sounds that a bolt on doesn't have, still the bass doesn't sound polite at all, it does have that jazz bass vibe and can sound very agressive. New Price is around 4000 € (without shipping and taxes!!), here for [s]2500[/s] € so here U go!!!!!!!!!!! 1 Piece Ash Body Maple Neck Imbuia Top Rosewood Fingerboard Di Marzio Area Jazz Pickups Passive / Active / True Bypass / Aguilar OBP-3 Badass Bridge / Gotoh Tuners This is almost the same bass, only with a quilted maple top instead of imbuia: Teste N.Zaganin Asema - YouTube If U r interested i will be glad to send a sound sample of the actual bass, thanks. Unfortunately i wasn't able to upload the photos, it failed every time i tried, so here's a link with couple of those: http://www.geba-onli...razilian-Fodera If any trades, Xotic XJ-1T would be fine, U never know, so please feel free to ask. Thanks!

Was it new when you bought it? What is it worth to you? What do similar ones sell for? etc, etc.
euros and come wit a deluxe gig bag this model ist a jazz bass black with black maple here one link http://www.musicstore.de/de_DE/EUR/B-sse/4-Saiter/Fender-American-Special-J-Bass-MN-BK-Black/art-BAS0005426-000

 11.
thanks for input makes a lot of sense, I currently play 4 string 34 inch scale basses, a warwick thumb and fender precision. i must say these feel very comfortable and natural to me. I do also own a 35 inch scale 6 string bass an Ibanez BTB676 that I very rarely play these days but it was my first bass for a number of years and when i played it a lot i did feel comfortable on it! I was under the impression the longer scale length then the better sounding the B string so i would not mind have a 35" 5 stringer as i know i do get on with this size but the string spacing can be a big issue for for me, any smaller than 18mm at the bridge and it starts to feel awkward when playing with certain techniques
this ist not on your list but may fit string spacing 17mm just check out the video here FERNANDES RETROSPECT 5 DELUXE JP BASS REVIEW - YouTube www.youtube.com/watch?v=wJ9QSEaUK90

 15.
I have 3 jazz guys who I listen to all the time. John Patitucci, Christian Mcbride and Larry Grenadier. Here's some of my favourite video clips. John Patitucci is the man! Check this out. Christian McBride. There are endless videos of him playing jaw droping solos. He has it all. Great feel, technique, a unique voice on the instrument. Check out his crazy fill at 05:19. I just love his positive vibes! There are a lot of other guys who I love listening to but heres todays top 3.... :-)
+1
 16. first at all i love fender basses but i would try to buy a bass from a small builder, maybe some one who lives in your area usually they got nice wood , and his a nice experience to order a bass and see how is made , you can always use fender pickups. cheers
 17. hi i hust try a few sandbergs in berlin 4 strings are ok(5 strings basses from sandberg are really bad in my opinion) the pre amp is made by glockenklang i think, really good quality ,the basic model was for me the worst from 5 or 6 sandbergs i try i recomend a normal sandberg california with a mm pick up and a single coil on the neck you get enough versatility with that combination. i agree a stingray have a great tone but just not my thing. if you look for another option and the money ist not an issue just buy a lakland 44-94 or 44-15 good luck with your new bass cheers
 18.
Nice A 55-94 I guess, then, given the date ?
yes a 55-94 i recomend the lakland from bartolini times i try some new ones and are superb basses, but not as the old ones cheers
