  4. EDIT: Ive just remembered this is NOT a Euro it is a NS4-CR. It’s Basically the same construction as the USA models with Solid Mapke Wings, the later Euro models have a Walnut sandwich between the front and back wings.
  5. Thanks, yeah it’s a beautiful finish, not one I would have initially gone for but it definitely looks amazing and draws nothing but compliments.
  6. Newcastle area
  7. Great full sound. Being active and mahogany it’s got a great frequency from the lows you’d expect to super clean highs. The ebony board gives each note fantastic definition too.

  9. Price drop
  10. I’ve just finished a restoration on this bass but in my usual untimely fashion, have been offered another ‘must have’ bass. This was badly painted black which I had stripped by David Wilson Guitars who also plugged the holes left by the thumb rest and bridge cover. The bass is now back to its original gold top finish but has some visual blemishes. I’ve upgraded the tuners from stock to Grover 142s the bass is strung with flats and plays great. Please see the pictures of the bass before and after, any questions please ask. Bass is in N Tyneside Thanks

  17. After selling my 78/79 Walnut Ray in January 2014 I’ve been on the lookout for a replacement. I’ve been selling a lot of my collection over the last few months as I no longer want cupboards full of basses or anymore ‘wall hangers’, I decided that all I wanted were basses that I would pick up and happily gig any night in any venue. With that in mind and my desire to get another Pre EB, I managed to snag this gorgeous bass off eBay. A quick 300 mile round trip followed by a complete strip down of every component and a good clean, polish, new battery and strings. It had a bit of an intermittent noise so I removed the op amp, cleaned the legs and re sat it and problem solved. One happy bunny.
  18. £1300
