1. ON HOLD UNTIL NEXT WEEK SALE IS PENDING!!!

Yet another bargain from my good self. One of the nicest rays I have played. Cosmetically the maple neck is grubby as I have tried to show, its not that bad but is no where near new.

The odd ding but nothing to get excited about.

After the money so no trades thanks.

Also, not really interested in posting this so cash on collection and due to the price if you want me to meet you its petrol money on top.

No Case included hence the price and collection/meet up requirement.

I will put strings on it but they won't be new, again down to the price. 3 band EQ.

This really is a great playing great sounding Stingray - I am in North Birmingham if you want to check it out!!

2.
Thanks for all the comments guys, Its a gorgeous bass and as i said its a feeler, I don't want to sell but would like to change my car, settle a few debts etc etc ... you know the score.

Birdy's post has gone but the bass stands me;

Initial purchase (un working),
electronic repair,
ancillary work and paint by Dave Wilson,
new East pre amp,
Ernie Ball knobs,
Chrome Strap Buttons,
Nickel Screws,

Total cost of circa 1100 :), I would need to cover this or close to, to make it worth selling.

Thanks

Dave
I removed my post after I realised that you have had a lot done to it and didn't want to divert from the sale of this lovely bass!!

Have a BUMP on me :-)

3.
Sorry maybe I did'nt make it clear - I am the potential buyer
Well in that case I think its a decent price. I have seen them go for £550 but thats rare. If you want a ray I would snap it up!

EDIT: You did make it clear, I just didn't read it properly :)

4.
I've been offerred one of these with a case.

It has a few dings, maple neck and the transition style bridge, 2 way pre-amp.

I've been offerred it for £600.
Depends how keen you are to sell in my opinion. I have one the same but 3 band eq and we valued it at £700 as part of a trade. £600 could be reasonable if you want to get rid.

5. REDUCED to £800 as I need to buy a computer for quick sale. No case so prefer collection.

Hopefully Andy won't mind me using his description and pictures...

Only had this about a week and its a great bass, sounds to my ears a little like a Modulus Flea but then I am tone deaf :-)

Reason for sale is its just not me. I am a Fender clone type of guy at heart and so this won't get used.

Trade wise I would be interested in the following with cash either way:

US Fender Jazz or P bass
EBS TD 650
Lakland or Stingray 5 strings

Looking for what I paid which is £950.

No case or gig bag so collection/meet half way preferred.

Thanks

Steve

6. I get more happiness value from basses than I do from cars. If I spend £10000 on a car it would make me happy for 2-3 weeks. If I spend £3000 on a bass I get much more happiness value for money. I get more happiness value from a £3000 bass than I would from x million PS3 games, 20 trips to the zoo or whatever so it's what I choose to spend my money on.
Thats my justification.

EDIT - PLUS I earn all the money I spend on gear from gigging so its a win win.
