1. @ Thornybank: no, they are regular machines. They have a nice feature: by turning the ferrule on the shaft you can change the gear initial tightness.
2. Yes, they are. There are also the original brass shielding plates in the cavity and under the pups.
3. Thanks White Cloud, they are indeed quite nicely built basses...
4. Up for sale goes my Tokai Jazz Sound TJB-45 bass from 1982. It's in great condition for its age and comes with thick padded made-in-Canada Levy's gigbag from the era. Flat-sawn maple neck with curved dark rosewood fretboard is comfy, smooth and straight. Truss rod working as it should, frets show some signs of use but there is still a lot of meat in them. Pickups are non-original but great-sounding Bartolini dual-coils (hum-cancelling). As you can see there is no pickguard, I believe the standard Fender 60's JB pickuard will nicely fit. Currently strung with a new 45-100 set of Fender stainless steel flatwounds. The weight is about 4,1 kg (9 lb) on my traveller scales. PayPal payment possible (buyer covers the fee), free shipping within EU. It will be well boxed and insured for shipping. More photos can be found here: http://s1030.photobucket.com/user/koval123/slideshow/Tokai Jazz Sound 1982?sort=9
5. Oh yes it is. Hopefully not for long as I have GAS on some handsome Status...
6. Time to sell my nice hand crafted Mayones BE4 bass. It sports mahogany/maple neck, topped with rosewood fretboard, over amazakoe (ovangkol) body in natural waxed finish. MEC active pickups are paired with active MEC BEC-2 (2-band) preamp with active/passive push-pull switch. The sound is tight and punchy, everything you would expect from dense exotic woods. Neck is nice and straight with truss rod working as it should, frets show little to no wear, action is set low. There are some scratches and tiny dents in the surface from normal use but nothing major. It's been well taken care of so its condition is very good The weight is about 3,9 kg (8,6 lb) on my traveller scales. PayPal payment possible (buyer covers the fee), shipping cost within EU would be GBP 30. It will be well boxed and insured for shipping. More photos can be found here: http://s1030.photobucket.com/user/koval123/slideshow/Mayones BE4?sort=9

Up for sale goes a nice Mayones Jabba Classic 5 string bass in very good condition. It sports maple neck, topped with rosewood fretboard, over alder body in glossy arctic white finish. She's like my wife - has beauitfull and innocent look but can be ruthless when you touch the right spot. Neck is nice and straight with truss rod working as it should, frets show little to no wear. There are some scratches and small dents in the finish on the bottom side of the body from normal use but nothing major. The weight is about 4,4 kg (9,7 lb) on my traveller scales. PayPal payment possible, shipping cost within EU would be GBP 30. It will be shipped in like-new Hicox Case More photos can be found here: http://s1030.photobucket.com/user/koval123/slideshow/Mayones Jabba 5 Classic?sort=9
8. Lovely indeed The neck has a slim C profile with 38,5 mm width at nut, 19 mm thickness @ 1st fret (from back to fretboard excl. fret), 21 mm @ 5th fret and 23 mm @ 12th fret.
9. Hi Razor, I'm from Poland. Shipping to UK should take £25 insured.
10. I've updated photobucket with closeups of frets (for IFT technology) and night pics (for luminous markers). I'm not able to track the moment the neck was possibly replaced but it's lovely for sure.
