I already have a 5 string Warwick $$, but I've been wanting a new bass lately just for a bit of variation. I'm just wondering would this be worth it
-
Yeah I saw a band a couple of nights ago and the bass player had an ATK with the triple rail and I couldnt get over how clear sounding it was cos he had it turned up big time!
-
Has anyone had any experience using this bass? I'm thinking about picking one up but thought I'd ask a few opinions on it first
-
Nope, I'm using a mesa boogie big block
-
Ok so I've put together my first rack system but I was never able to get my head around the whole input/output thing etc. So what goes where connection wise at the back to make it all work together? I have a pre-amp, a compressor and a rack tuner. Cheers in advance for any help!
-
Cheers for the advice dude, I got it all sorted in an electrical store yesterday, I needed an earthed adaptor as well
-
Did more modern Wal basses have active pick-ups? I'd be interested in that 1981 model...
-
Does anyone know of anywhere based in the UK or Ireland that I could buy a Wal bass from?
-
I'm pondering flogging it and getting the korg dtr 2000, has anyone had any experience with that tuner?
-
I recently bought a mesa boogie big block 750. It came from France so the power cable has the 2 pin connectors. So I bought an adaptor to plug it into, now my question is, the power cable has a 16 amp fuse whereas the adaptor has a 13 amp fuse, will I not be able to use the power cable with this adaptor? Cheers in advance!

Yeah I'm already starting to think about parting with it

Has anyone used this rack tuner before? I started using it for the first time today and I found its not reading the lower notes on my bass like the low B etc. Even if I hit the harmonic on the 12th it takes a few seconds to register on the tuner! I tried using the auto calibration to fix it but it didnt make a difference. Anyone got any ideas?

I ended up getting a TKL pedalboard case and it was a decent price so I'm happy enough with that, cheers lads!
-
Actually thats something I can never get my head around, I'm just putting together my first rack system, whats the best way to connect it all up? rack head>compressor>tuner etc? Then I gotta figure out what inputs to use to connect it all!
-
Well preferably a case! I just checked up on diago there and they look pretty sweet. See I just shelled out on a big block 750 so the funds are a little low at the moment so something a little cheaper would be nice
-
Hey guys. Could anyone suggest a reasonably priced and decent pedalboard to get?
-
I've ended up going with the Behringer MDX2600 Composer Pro XL after reading good reviews about it. I guess it can be hit and miss with compressors depending on what you're looking for. This is going to be my first one so I'll see how I get on
-
Is there any particular model by behringer? I was looking at the mdx 2600 composer
Was also looking at some dbx models. I just dont know what to go for! -
Its something I have a lack of
-
I cant find any xp100 on ebay at all
-
Really? What condition is it in and for how much etc?
-
Yeah I was looking at the xp100. And I am a big fan of Tool and the way Justin Chancellor uses the whammy. Would the xp100 be a better option then?
-
Yeah I think I'll pick it up. Its a shame the Bass Whammy has been discontinued, from the videos I've seen of people using it it sounds amazing.
-
The digitech bass whammy was discontinued wasnt it? Does the normal digitech whammy work just as good on basses?
How to connect a rack system?

Cheers Neil, the mesa does have a tuner out so that should sort me out. Much appreciated
