Is it worth buying a power conditioner for a preamp that acts as your power amp too? Or is it something thats used mainly just for power amps alone?
-
I'm highly interested in this! But I'm low on cash, damn. I'll see what I can do!
-
Interested in a Music Man SUB plus a bit of extra cash?

Anyone know where to get them? Cant find any sites selling them. I recently bought a Spector and they come with sets of their own strings on them and I have to say the tone and feel of them is lovely.

The model of footswitch is in the manual but when I went to Tech 21 to suss out if I could get it it wasnt listed amongst any of their products. And I couldnt find it anywhere else online. But I bought the Boss FS-5L footswitch after a bit more research. Its the latching type and thats exactly what I need, cheers for the input guys

Hey guys, I need to get a footswitch to use with my Sansamp rack unit. Will any channel select footswitch do the trick? Any recommendations? Cheers!

I did some reading up on it and as it turns out a lot of people opt for the RPM instead, apparently it gives even better control and a nicer drive.

Anyone had any experience with this rack unit? From reading about it it seems to be one hell of a good distortion for bass. I cant find any audio samples of it though

Selling for £400. Postage from Ireland would have to be covered also.
I dont have pictures of it at the moment as its in my bands rehearsal flat, but I'll take pictures of it as soon as possible. Its in very good condition, only been used for gigging a few times and recorded with it once. Dont have use for it anymore as I'm using a rack system. -

Definitely in the active input. I have this bass as well, she packs one hell of a punch! Wouldnt trade it for any other bass

Phil Lynnott was great indeed. But I'm surprised no one has even mentioned Rex Brown yet, he has been the biggest influence on me. The guy has the biggest live bass sound I've ever heard as well. And how could we forget about Justin Chancellor!

Anyone ever used one of these? If so what are they like? I play in a metal band and was pondering buying one of these to add a bit of low end distortion to the mix
-
Cool, I'll pop in there tomorrow and pick some up, cheers for that

What type of velcro do you guys use to put your pedals into the board? Or do you glue the velcro to your pedals?
-
I gotta go with active. I play mostly metal, so that big boomy sound I get gives me great joy lol
-
Haha very good

Cheers Peter, thats good to know! I hope I can get this sorted quickly. I dont have an account with them, so I contacted their customer service for returns, hopefully they'll get back to me tomorrow.

Has anyone ever had to send anything back to them? If so what are they like for replacements? I recently bought a Spector Euro 5LX from them and when it arrived the fret buzz was crazy on it, so much so that notes werent even coming out. Now I'm not very good at adjusting things so I sent it to the usual guy I get to adjust my basses, and he just rang me back saying I'd be better off returning it and that the nut is faulty on it and the bridge is up at its highest and its still causing a problem.

I'm based in Ireland and have my eye on something on their site, are they good to deal with to buy online and for shipping fast?

I'm in a metal band at the moment and I'm using a Warwick $$ five string, and in my old metal band I used a 4 string MusicMan SUB. So it can vary greatly. The Warwick is really suiting me at the moment! Although I'm about to invest in a Spector too!
-
Yeah see I'm in Ireland and most of the music shops here dont even deal in 6 string basses so I cant try them out the Spector Legend 6 string looks sweet but its in around 800 quid. Actually does anyone know of anywhere outside the US that sells the 6 string versions online? I can only seem to find the 4 and 5 versions.

Any suggestions? I'd like to pick one up cheap enough to get used to using one first, then later I could splash out the big bucks if I wanted to get a better one
