1. Hey guys. I'm looking to pick up a used US Jazz bass and I'm a bit concerned about it being an "American Traditional". After doing some reading, I found out that a serial number beginning with "N9xxxxx" could either be a US Standard or an American Traditional from 1999-2000, is there a way of telling which is which? If I posted some pictures of the bass could you guys tell the difference? When I checked the serial number on Guitar Dater Project it said that it was made in Corona California. Cheers in advance for any help!

  2.
Darren @ Bass Merchant have just taken a lot of Mess stock on...:)
I tried bass direct alright but they don't have the M9 in stock and aren't sure when they'll have them in. Tried Bass Merchant's website and there's no Mesa gear listed, I'll get in contact and see what they say.

  3. Howdy folks. Anyone use these cabs? I have a chance to pick up the 411ND and 115ND at a good price but unfortunately I don't live near a dealer to try them out. Opinions on them? Cheers.

  4. I went into a local store today to try out some Genz Benz XB2 cabinets that I had intended trading my GK Neo 212 and Neo 410 for(reason being I find the GK cabs to be too bright for my liking). The Genz cabinets I tried were the 410T XB2 and the 115T XB2. As soon as I played them I was in love, punchy with a fat low end. So I got talking to the store owner about a deal and he said that even with the trade of my 2 GK cabs that it would cost me €1000 in the difference for the 2 Genz cabs. I'd definitely be getting ripped off if I went through with this wouldn't I!? :)

  5. I'm really torn about which of these cabs to get. I'm looking to add onto my GK Neo 212 but I'm not very fond of the high end in that cab. So my worry about the Neo 410 is that it might be similar sounding, can anyone confirm that? I'm looking for a good bit of low end and I got to try out a friend's RBX 410 and I thought it sounded great. But I hear so many great things about the Neo 410 that it's making it a hard decision for me.

  6. I have a GK Neo 212 which is quite a thunderous cab. I find the treble to be harsh at times but that would be the only fault I'd find with it. I have a decision to make now, I can either buy a Neo 410 to go with the 212 and complete my current gigging rig or I could buy a 700RB-II which I don't necessarily need as I already have 2 other heads already but I've had G.A.S for it for quite some time!

  7. Has anyone got much experience with these cabs? Would they be good for low tuned metal music? I play mostly 5 string basses so the low B(sometimes tuned lower) would have to really stand out for me. Any advice would be much appreciated :)

  8. Thinking of picking up this cab, anyone had any experience with it? It's as far as I can stretch my price range right now and I'd rather get something I can rely on rather than something really cheap.

Playing through a Genz Benz GBE 1200 if that makes any difference to peoples advice for me. Cheers.

  9. I'm cutting back on my rig a bit, getting rid of my 8x10 as I dont need a cab that big anymore unfortunately. So I'm looking to get a 4x10 at a decent price. Preferably looking at something that runs around 600 watts at 8 ohms. I was looking at the Warwick WCA 411 Pro, any other suggestions?

  10. Hey guys. Anyone had any experience with one of these heads? I'm hopefully going to get to try one out over the next week or so in a local store and if I like it I'm going to trade my Mesa Big Block towards it.

  11. I have a Mesa Big Block that I'd be willing to trade. Only a year old and been rack mounted the whole time. I also have the original head casing for it. Although the fact that I live in Ireland might be a bit of a problem :)
