  1. I'm thinking about trading my ACG Krell E-Type.

It's a seriously incredible instrument (as are all ACGs) but I have a couple of things I play more often so I thought I'd offer this one up for something different.

    Specs:

    - Headless 31.5" scale - so easy to play!

    - Chambered white limba body with swamp ash facings and dark contrast layers (likely dyed sycamore)

    - Beautiful three-piece ash neck (standard carve NOT asymmetrical)

    - Incredible aqua stained fingerboard

    - ACG humbuckers

    - ACG/East EQ01 filter preamp

    - Neutrik locking jack

    - Dunlop strap locks

    - High quality Mono soft case.

I'll consider pretty much anything in trade - just ask. Fretless is good. Warwick. A different spec ACG. Rickenbacker. Something vintage. Sadowsky. Headed/headless. 4/5/6 strings. etc. etc.

If you don't have anything to trade and a straight sale is preferred, just send me a message, I'm also open to offers. Collection/meet up is ideal but shipping is very doable too.

  2. *edit for price drop - now £800*

Hi all, up for sale is my ACG Recurve which I recently acquired in a trade. My heart was obviously overruling my head at the time as sadly I still need the cash.

It's in virtually immaculate condition and has been very well looked after by previous owners. Comes with a basic hard case. I can ship but UK only please, pickup is do-able too. Spec is below.

For those not in the know ACGs feature a couple of tweaks to most bass guitars, these are:
Asymmetric neck. Thicker under the E string tapering to thinner under the G string. It's not massively noticeable but it's incredibly comfortable and ergonomic.
Flat fingerboard (no radius). I genuinely don't know why basses need a radiused fingerboard, tradition I guess. Flat feels so good and is a dream to play.
Filter preamp. A natural sounding active preamp (made by John East). Stack 1: vol & blend. Stack 2: a filter for neck pickup, bottom ring is the frequency and acts like a really powerful tone control. The top is called "overshoot peak" and is like a resonance control and makes the freq you chose on the bottom ring more or less pronounced. Stack 3: same as previous but for the bridge pickup. Stack 4: controls the amount of overall treble. Bottom is frequency as per the previous two and top is gain/volume for overall treble (essentially off on minimum volume).

The filter preamp can seem intimidating but once you've played with it it's really intuitive and you can get such a broad range of tones. Its best trick is to set each pickup to a perfect individual neck and bridge tone then mix between them.

    ACG Recurve

    Build year: 2018 (I think)
    Scale: 34"
    Body wood: alder
Top wood: keyaki (Japanese wood, looks lovely: similar grain to lacewood)
Neck: bolt on 3-piece ash and wenge
    Fingerboard: birdseye maple
    Pickups: ACG single coils
Preamp: active ACG EQ01 dual filter
    Hardware: Gotoh and Hipshot
    Finish: clear acid lacquer (satin)
    Locking Neutrik jack
    Dunlop strap locks

    Cheers. Any questions, just ask.

  3. Hi all, for sale is my Spector Euro LX in 'Black & Blue' finish.

It sounds incredible as a Spector should and the finish is beautiful in the flesh - edging towards a teal colour. Condition is 9/10; I've found a couple of very minor blemishes as pictured - one area on the forearm position and one underneath the short horn. Bass is located north of Manchester and pickup would be great but I'm willing to ship (within GB only) and with buyer paying shipping please. Comes with the Spector gig bag and tools / bits.

Straight sale only please. The only thing I'd consider in trade is an ACG with a filter preamp.

    Full spec:

TOP WOOD – USA Figured Maple
BODY WOOD – European Alder with a slice of Walnut

NECK WOOD – 3-piece Maple with Graphite Rods inside for additional strength
    FRETBOARD – Rosewood
    NUMBER OF FRETS – 24
INLAYS – Mother of Pearl Crown
    NUT – Brass
    NUT WIDTH – 1.64"
    SCALE – 34"

CONTROLS – Volume, Volume, Treble Boost, Bass Boost
PICKUPS – Active EMG P/J Set
    PICKUP CONFIGURATION – P/J

    HARDWARE – Black
    BRIDGE – Aluminium Locking
    TUNERS – Spector Die-Cast

    Any questions; ask away!

  4. Sadly I’m up for redundancy at work so nice things are needing to be sacrificed. This was built for me back in 2014 by the incredible guys at Alpher and it pains me to have to sell it but needs must, hence the silly price. If you weren’t keen on fretless you could ask the guys to build you a fretted neck and it’d still be a steal!

I’m happy to ship and also for the buyer to collect from Bury, north of Manchester. No trades please.

    Scale length: 34”

Body: chambered black limba with wenge slice and matched English walnut top

Neck: one-piece rosewood with aluminium side dots

    Fingerboard: Macassar ebony

Pickups: custom wound Wizard P and Humbucker

Electronics: East 3-band EQ with passive switch

    Hardware: all Hipshot

    Weight:

    Case: really sturdy semi-hard case

It’s in very good condition, there is some playing wear and indentations as pictured but nothing worth shouting about; no dings anywhere.

Seller credentials-wise, I do have feedback on here but I appreciate it’s a bit old. I used to do the website and graphic design for Great British Bass Lounge with Drew Dempster if anyone is familiar. I have 100% eBay feedback and 5* on Reverb. Any questions, just ask.

  5. Sadly I’m up for redundancy at work so nice things are needing to be sacrificed. I only bought this within the last couple of months and it’s a wonderful bass but needs must, hence the silly price.

I’m happy to ship and also for the buyer to collect from Bury, north of Manchester. No trades please.

    Scale length: 32”

Body: alder with quilted maple top

Neck: ash with black side dots

Fingerboard: acrylic impregnated birdseye maple, flat radius

    Pickup: ACG BZ1 humbucker

Electronics: volume, 4-way selector (front coil, both series, both parallel, back coil), tone

Hardware: all Hipshot with a D-tuner on the bottom string, Neutrik locking jack

    Weight: 7lbs 6oz (3.4kgs).

    Case: Ritter gig bag

It’s in excellent condition, the only thing I can spot are a couple of little knocks in the lacquer on the front as pictured.
