It's Jerry's birthday today, and I enjoy playing his style at the Elvis show's around the UK for Gordon Hendricks. This is one we do. Thanks

Hi I'm not really up with Macca, but i ran through this a couple of times and hit record, mainly to try out this bass. It's amazing just how much bass these things can produce.

Just phone recordings. Was a busy 3 show around the country weekend, most weekends are. Thanks.

Wish they did a full scale version of this. I’m clumsy enough on 34” so 30”-32” sounds like a chimpanzee bashing a set of rubber bands.
Such a cool looking bass.
i also wish they did this in full scale much like the gibson ebo basses.

Hi anyone else playing at the Butlins 60s weekender this weekend? I'm on the Cliff show sat night, and Elvis Sunday Aft. Just prepping for the Cliff show, great basslines I think. 4 tracks here. This is the bass i use most, its a 97 squire P bass, with a couple of mods over the years.

hi and HNY all. Always liked this song, and that 60s edge to it, simple but nice bass line. Bass and drums cover

This has a nice tight focused bass part and nice drums as well. Thanks for listening

Hi I have a nice regular gig and i use my trusty old squire P bass as it's the right look (black n white) but it's also my favourite bass too! it's a 97

Hello, this is a fast version, and it was actually speeded up (the whole show was) to fit on an LP back in the day instead of a double album. And this is fast! We do sometimes play it this fast at a Gordon Hendricks show, and I'm out on the road with that. Please use headphones. Thanks

Yeah I really miss playing this sort of stuff and the bass lines are just superb, from the early Rock n Roll bass lines right up to the Jerry Scheff parts. We also played stuff by Little Richard, Chuck Berry, Buddy Holly, Bill Haily etc. and it went down a storm and was so much fun to play. Keep up the great work, its sounding great 👍
Thank you

I played in a 50's Rock n Roll club band for 3 years and I loved playing the Elvis numbers. My favourite was The Wonder of You but loved Hound Dog, Blue Suede Shoes, Jail House Rock and Elvis's version of Whole Lotta Shakin. I even had an old chap who was an bassist session player from the 60's come up to me and say I'm the only one he's heard play Burning Love properly 😁
aw brilliant . Burning love is a big one on this show. Yes they are loads of fun to play, and there is still a huge demand for Elvis.

Hi this is just phone video, from the weekend show at Redditch Palace Theatre and the quality is pretty good! I'm Gordon Hendricks Bass player, and we have a good amount of shows in, including the o2 indigo in Dec 🙂 I use my squire 97 P bass for these shows, as it has the right look, and it sounds like a good P bass should. I picked this up last year while playing on the isle of wight for about £150. It's one I won't part with. Thanks for looking.

Not my normal music I post but I'd give it a bash

It's only phone shot, i play bass most weekends for Gordon Hendricks stage shows around the uk , and on bigger stages we use a brass section etc. Here is just me doing the Jerry Scheff solo from last week, at the white rock theatre. Headphones would be best as its not too clear. Thanx

Just re strung this old kramer and i love it's tone. Everything removed from the track except the vocals and a little piano. It's just a busk to try the bass make sure it's all good.

Hi just trying out this wav as i wanted something i could switch between songs on stage, and really impressed with the tone. Best with headphones, Thanks

hello, i picked up this P bass on the Isle of wight while working out there, and i use this on a lot of my Elvis shows as it's the right colour (Jerry Scheff) and to be fair it plays and sounds great! i prefer this over my other P basses that are 10 times the coast. Must be the plywood !! best with headphones.

I play for a few of the Elvis guys, and Hendrix is probably the best. Love the bass lines and a big Jerry Scheff fan as well.

Morning, just a quick recording did this morning.

Just a quickie on my P bass, with a bit of slap.

Bass and drums cover. I got this great P bass of a BC member Mike, for some Cliff shows, and love it.

Hello, just treated myself to this Ibanez BTB605MS fan fret. Really nice bass, lots of punch. The tracks I use are from karaoke version where you can remove the bass etc from the track, so no need to play n top. Thanks
