2. Checkout Steve - Soars hartke HA7000, more than enough b@lls for what you want me thinks. Great sound too! Plus a great price As Steve says at £225 its a steal http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=11453
3. Save some cash and buy steve's instead http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=11453

5.
i am basically meaning bands along the lines of Charger, Eye Hate God, Iron Monkey, Sourvein, Crowbar etc.. etc..
Right just checked out Eyehategod is that a long haired Rab C Nesbitt on lead guitar then. Not my cup of tea but it looks like you'll be needing a fiver tho!. Enjoy
6. In my ignorance is "doomy sludge" a new genre I've missed out on or are you just completly underwhelmed by the whole idea? If it's the latter why bother? If it's the former name a few bands and I'll have a listen.
7. Hi & welcome to the forum, good to see another low down member from Shropshire.
8. + 1 More for PMT. They have a beautiful Sandberg Jazz looky likey. Maple neck and fretboard, don't know what the body wood is. Around the £800 mark I think. Staff are great also.

10. +1 more For Thomann, couldn't fault them. 7 euro's carriage and delivered to my works in three days. Excellent quality on a MM copy.

12.
Yep do it. Play as much as you can and the experience of playing with other musicians will do you good and improve you as a player. Experience is experience and you should play as much as you can and you never know what it might lead onto.
+1 Somenone somewhere might spot the talented genius on the bass, who is just what they are looking for, but besides all that it has to be all good playing live... and getting paid for it it's a no brainer is'nt it

18. OK guy's he's looking for nearest offer around £300.00. Which is probably a fair price. Great vintage amp and cabs.
19. Guy's regarding cost I'll check with him and see how much he's looking for. He asked me to post it and see if there was any interest first. Should have price by this evening.
20. Hi all, here we have for sale a well gigged Peavey Rig. I'm posting this for a friend because he has no computer. Rig is made up of a Bass Mark VIII Series 602 and 2 -off 210TX Cabs. He would like to sell complete. Specs are: Amp: 600w @ 2 Ohms 350w @ 4 Ohms Dims: H=200mm, W=580mm, D=330mm Cabs: 350w @ 4 Ohms Dims: H=425mm, W=610mm, D=445mm There is lots of facility for tone shaping, I've split the photo's into the various areas on the amp. As you can see from the photo's this rig has been well worked over the years, I'm not sure exactly how old it is but my mate has been gigging in a Country & Western band so was probably not pushed hard. No offence to all you C&W practitioners out there!!! He say's it has never let him down. He has now changed to a Genz Benz amp and cab. My son has gigged the rig recently in his Rock band and he had no prob's. I don't know what the weights are but the amp is really heavy and it and the cab's are built like the proverbial "brick S*%$house"! I have contacted Peavey for a PDF manual, they sent me a pdf for a VIIIXP I don't think it's the exact manual but it looks pretty close. The manual for the cabs is still on their website. (In my ignorance I don't know how to attach a link to the pdf download sorry). It would be for collection from Telford in Shropshire or possibly a meet at a mutually agreed point for the cost of fuel. Cheers Frank [attachmen t=4929:DSC_0004.JPG][ a ttachment=4936:DSC_0011.JPG]
