  1. Love the colour...and the bass is ok I suppose....
  2. nope I have the limiter first in the chain...that may be the wrong way to do it, I dunno...
  3. I have the tuner, ultra bass flanger, limiter enhancer, bass eq and I also had the hellbabe wah. Ok they are cheap plastic boxes but for 15 quid what do you expect? I keep them in my pedal case so there isn't much going to happen to them. Now my critique - The tuner struggles sometimes to pick up a low B and has an awful habit of running out of battery power just before a gig (changing the battery is a pain in the arse on these boxes). The EQ is really sensitive, adjusting the sliders even just a fraction boosts the volume ridiculously, but it still sounds fine. The flanger I've just gotten but so far I am very, very impressed. The limiter/enhancer does the job just fine. The hellbabe lost a bit of volume & tone when it came on but sounded good enough. I got some nice swells from it. However it just decided to stop wah-ing one day! It was only 25 bucks so no biggie. Overall, they'll do the job until you can scrape together enough dosh to buy quality replacements.
  4. I've just bought the EHX Micro-POG and it kicks the proverbial ass. I have a boss OC-3 which I barely used because I thought it was muddy sounding, no matter how much I messed about with it (sounds fine with a g****r tho!). The Micro-POG I see myself using a lot more! It's straight forward enough, with a knob each for sub-octave, dry signal and octave up. It tracks very well and using the octave up it really chimes! Not exactly cheap at £115 but not too expensive and worth it IMHO...
  5. Hey all, thought I'd say hi. I used to post on the old forum (occasionally) as Stamina, but I felt like a new nick. I play bass (obviously) for Captain Face (www.myspace.com/captainface). We're based in the Aberdeen area, but have had gigs in the exotic locales of Dundee, Montrose, Inverness, Perth, Glasgow, Edinburgh and one very drunken mini-tour to the South-West of England...so hi to the peeps of Plymouth, Bideford, Barnstaple, Ilfracombe and Combe Martin! Er...equipment...well, I'm playing a Washburn 5 string into a crappy old Laney combo for practices at the mo, and I love using a bit of FX every now and again. My pedalboard consists of Behringer Bass Limiter/Enhancer, Boss Chorus Ensemble, Ibanez Bass Synth, Behringer Bass EQ, Boss Bass Overdrive, Behringer tuner, and using a Boss Line Selector I have a loop with a Behringer Bass Ultra Flanger and a Electro-Harmonix Micro-POG. And I have a Crybaby copy, which lacks bass tone, so I'm maybe going to go for a Morley wah as my next purchase as I like the switchless "always on" approach that my now defunct Behringer Wah had... Well, I dunno what else to say other than I look forward to reading all the posts on the new forum!
