Great looking bass, and these are fantastic sounding basses.
What is the asking price? Can't seem to find it at first glance. -
Amazing amp. Do you consider shipping?
-
I ordered this bass in 2006 from Chris, and received it in 2007.
It is one of the best basses I ever played. I only sold it last year because I bought an 1960 jazz bass, that suited my playing style even a bitt better.
It has been my #1 bass for 3 years, while I bought and sold more than 20 bass in the meantime.
This is one of the best jazz basses money can buy, and Brusen is great guy to do business with. -
I've had the serious pleasure of owning a Celinder - I don't believe in fairy dust, but if anybody's got some, it's Chris Celinder
That Precision was one of the few basses that i regret selling. Everything, and every tone sounded amazing on that bass.
Really trying to find the cash for this one. Love the looks, and curious how it will sound with these pickups. -
Fantastic looking bass for a good price.
This should sell quick. -
Wow, what a bass. I'm usually not a sunburst fan, but this looks amazing.
I'm seriously checking my savings, to see what is possible.
Have a bump on me in the meantime! -
It has this real nice faded look.
You can really see the white primer finish. That what gives it that almost OW feel.
The next couple of years it will fade even more, to match the rest of the of the bass even better. -
That lightweight Update of yours is still a bass I would love to own.
Usually I don't like black basses, bur with this control layout it just works. -
The headstock got some water/ moist damage or something a long time ago. I call it therefore my swamphead...
I thought about a matching headstock, but that wouldn't be period correct. (they started somewhere in '61). And the longer I own the bass, the more I think this is a part of the history of the bass. Also you would have to destroy the last part of the original decal.
I had the neckpickupcover on it. But I prefer to play without it. And I think it shows the amazing pickguard much better. -
Last year I had the oppurtunity to purchase a 1960 Jazz bass. It was finished in a very thick poly 59'burst. So I decided it needed an original nitro refinish.
I decided on blond, because it has an Ash body, but because of some black stains from the previous finish, a see through finish, wasn't an option. So I went with sonic blue.
To be honest I like the total look better than blond (although I would have been nice to restore it to what probably would have been the original colour). The fantastic re-finish has been done by Patrick Koopman (www.pkguitars.com)
It is an incredible playing (unbelievable neck) and sounding bass. Should be obvious, because I sold my special passive Celinder Jazz for it.
-
The new owner will be a very happy with this. When you play this bass for the first time, you will stop playing after a few notes, because you have to say WOW first.
Amazing bass. -
My old bass. I played about 20 Celinders in my life, and this one is in the top 3 of all time favorites with my old J Classic, and Flankers former 5 string fretles. I'm afraid I will not be able to afford it, but will think about it the next couple of days. Amazing bass.
Good luck with the sale Lozbass! -
This Celinder is back for sale!!
Price reduction 2950,- GBP/ 3350 euro's.
A saving of more than 1500,- euro's compared to a new one! -
As i've stated before the AC was not twice the bass my Jazz was, nor was the Celinder P 4 times the bass of my Jap 62 Precision, but I must state that they were both remarkably special.
I now feel confident that the boutique basses should be the way i'm heading, they are better than what I have, and therefore justifiably dearer.
However, it is subject to the law of diminishing returns, spending more and more money seeing smaller and smaller benefits.
So unless I win the lottery, i'll be scouting around the used market I reckon.
Also, the Celinder is pure filth...
That Celinder P Vintage Lozbass owns is something special indeed.
I played alot of Celinders through the years, and that P-bass is on par with my other favorite Celinders. Flankers old Blue Celinder fretlesss and some
J-Classics I played (and own.). I'm not a P-bass guy, but that bass had it all. It plays and sounds amazing. -
Good news! The goldprice is rising skyhigh, so what better bass to buy than this Shoreline Gold Celinder.

Thank you Sir!
Here is a picture of Chris Celinder himself with my bass.

Thanks for the bump!
All pm's replied from the last 24 hours.
Thanks everyone for the offers. At the moment this bass is stil available. -
Great clip!
Love the creativity in the basslines and licks. (as always...)
It shows that this is a very good bass, and fits your style.....
Just keep it! -
Hi Jim!
Actually, I just played it the last couple of months.
Hope to do the refinish next month, and have it back before the end of the year.
Will keep you updated, when I have some pictures of the restoration. -
Hope I replied to all the PM's. and a bump for a partitial trade list!
Althrough I prefer a straight sale, so I can purchase/ order another bass, I will seriously consider partitial trades:
4 or 5 strings, fretless or fretted:
Fender Jazz (clones: Sadowsky. Alleva, Celinder Atelier Z etc.)
Stingray
NS Design EUB
A nice amp like DB750, Bergantino.
Could consider a straight trade for something like a Fodera.
Just let me know what you have. -
Thank you very much mister Wombat and P-T-P!
If I was looking for a vintage Jazz for a good price, I would certainly purchase Wombatbat's 1966 Fender. With the original white pickguard, it is the perfect bass for a refinish in custom colour! -
Thank you all for the very nice replies.
As I orderd the bass myself it is especially good to see that everybody likes it so much!
About the weight.
It is a moderate weight bass. Much lighter than all these Celinder J Updates of 11+ pounds.
I can't measure it precise, but it will be around 4-4.5 kg/ 9.5 lbs. -
I thought about this for a while this summer, and came to the conclusion that I'm gonna sell my Celinder J Classic 4. I ordered this bass in 2006, and arrived in september 2007. I owned 30+ basses, and several Celinders, but this one is very special.
Never thought I would sell it, but after the purchase of a 1960 Fender jazz bass, the Celinder lost it's #1 spot. Briefly thought about converting it into fretless, but that it would be a shame to start messing with such a beautifull instrument.
Celinder J Classic 4
Alder Body in Shoreline Gold.
Birdseye maple neck with matching headstock
Amazing Braz. rosewood fretboard with claydots
Comes with vintage white and black pickguard and orginal case.
Alleva Coppollo single coil pickups. ($250,- upgrade)
I live in Amsterdam, The Netherlands. You are more than welcome to pick the bass up, and test it in advance (easyjet. Ryanair) but shiping is no problem.
(Edit 26th of october) This bass is back up for sale because I've seen a fretless I really like. I'm putting this bass up for 2950 GBP/ 3350euro's, that is 1500,- less than a new one, and you don't have to wait a few years!!

Anyone ever played or owned an IP310?
There is one for sale at bassdirect, that looks very interesting.
I'm curious how these compare to the IP112 + extension, or an Epifani 310 with a nice amp.
Sadowsky Tokyo Fretless 4. sold !

I've been looking for a good fretless for a while, and the modulus seems like agreat bass.
Question: Is the thumbrest placed by Modulus, or aftermarket?
