Do you remember when Little Mountain Studios in Vancouver was the place to record for all kinds of hard rock acts?

In the late 1980's/ early 1990's everyone who somebody was queueing up to record there. Bon Jovi, Aerosmith AC/DC , The Cult ect. Bruce Farbairn is sadly no longer with us, but Bob Rock is still one of the hottest ( and most expensive) record producers in the world.
I remember it being popular then, David Lee Roth was cutting "a little aint enough" there, that part of vancouver was supposedly host to some of the finest strippers in the continent. Vancouver also was popular for filming 90, s television shows I think it was cheaper, I seem to remember X files being one of the standout shows amongst them

  2. I always assumed that to get the clean low, s and distorted highs you would still need two amps, but listening to a recent clinic I did hear him say "if I only had one amp , wouldn, t it be nice if I could get my bass tone, then just ghost in distortion" so apparently the splitting of the channels in the sig pedal does work.

I was just curious how it does this, I assume it splits the input in two , then allows you to mix the two channels and add comp and distortion, but the question is how, its very clever circuitry

Could do worse than buy a Bluetooth soundbar.
Btw; do not play CDs in DVD player. Sounds cack.

  4. anyone here used wilkinsons on a telebass headstock, I ask this as I read somewhere on a forum someone had to grind a bit of the plate off as they they have larger than normal bass plates. Cant afford hipshot's at the moment.

This would be relevant to a precision neck with the small headstock like a tele too. I dont want to use the gotoh style as they have to look like the vintage /clover,elephant ear type.

I can trim some off the wilkinsons no doubt with my dremel, I am not sure which bit would protrude from the headstock though and cannot find a pic. Cheers....Paul

I initially used springs on the screws instead of neoprene when I built my Fretless 'P' bitzer. It made the pickup microphonic. I then chopped up a cheapo ikea mousemat and used a few layers under the pickup instead & it was much better
excellent so many uses for a mouse mat.

I have heard that about the springs I think you have to put some sort of plastic tube round them
