It's difficult to say for certain.

One thing that might be worth checking, is the frequency range it's operating in. From what I could see on the website, it doesn't look like it operates in the UK available frequencies (apologies if you're not in the UK) so you may have problems.

    Thanks.  I'm in Scotland 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

The chap in the band who bought the system used it live last week and it worked perfectly.   Frequency range is 555-575MHz

The receiver pack I can find online is 500-570MHz

  2. Our band is venturing into IEM land for the first time.  We have a Phenyx Pro transmitter that came with one receiver bodypack. It accommodates a max of four.  I'm having difficulty finding a Phenyx receiver pack to buy for myself.  Will another brand receiver work if I make sure the frequency range is in limits?

Thanks in advance to the vastly experienced BC community.

I will not play Status Quo. There's a line and that crosses it.

Oh don't be that snob. Rattle into Big Fat Mama, Softer Ride and Forty Five Hundred Times and find a new world of wonder 😃

My sister sent me this... I didnt realise what I was about to hear. Its a wonderful record but good lord that groove at 4,40 mins... that is one of the most satisfying guitar solos (2 part) and groove sections ive ever heard that seems to go on and on, the galloping/ 16th note bass playing, the drumming is just amazing also..... just wow.

If the radio stations hadn't faded it out by then my favourite bit was Leon's wee bass turn around at 8.10

  5. I went to see sunn O))) in Glasgow last month.  Saw hee haw ( it's a Scottish expression) and left after an hour. They seemed to be playing the same piece over two chords.  This was all we were treated to visually.  20240326_204159.thumb.jpg.93cc67defa976971d59ceadabaa4a529.jpg

  6. If you do play for a percentage of the bar takings be very clear what you've agreed to.   One of my bands played for £100 plus 10% of bar sales.  The place was rammed.

At pay up time the owner only paid us an additional £20 saying that the other hundred odd people were part of two big retirement party groups and their spend didn't count.  An absolute shyster. Lesson learnt.

  7. As long as your eyes react well to contact lenses you'll be fine.  Mine didn't and I ditched them years ago.

Now I don't wear spex when gigging. Fortunately I'm short sighted and can see my fretboard, amp and band mates.  Punters can be blurry though.

  8. Booked to play outdoors on the Prom at Girvan Beach but Ayrshire's beautiful bank holiday weather meant a late change to indoors.  A local youth facility premises with a cosy yet lively atmosphere.  Max capacity is 100 souls and it was full. Band mascot Roger approved.

6 who made it to audition stage and not one was suitable.

What was it that made you decide against these applicants?  Were any of them close?  In which case perhaps invite them back and really work with them.  On the plus side you have four months to get the best of them up to speed.
