I have for sale a carpet covered compact 1153 cab. It has an added Fane horn for top end punch. 200 watts 8 ohms £90 collected. Looking for a 2 x 10 trace cab ( carpet covered ) as a trade. Thanks.

I thought the same about the high C at first, thought I would never use it. I now use it on four of my bands songs and would never go back to a five string...... I would miss the high C string like mad. It is really easy to go from a five to a six as the Clover neck is just perfect.

Note regarding the sound.... I run the Shuker with about 60% wound off the passive tone and the amp COMPLETELY FLAT. The bass has so so so much bottom end and punch it is just awesome.

Ya, its really stunning. I cant put it down. I'm sitting here at work really missing my new toy. Had an hour play this morning and the sound is just epic. I would recommend anyone looking for a custom / dream bass to speak to Jon because he has made this bass exactly to my specs and sound. His workmanship is just perfect, the neck and body are just amazing. Cant wait to gig it this weekend, should give the other band members a big smile.

Its here.............. First impressions....... OMG its a monster. I cant plug it in because I'm at work but acoustical it has all the fretless magic I need and some.... Mwah. Only one little niggle it has a paint drip on the backside near the neck about 5mm round... will need to talk to Jon on that one. Apart from this little niggle its finish is perfect. Also what struck me when putting it on the strap it has NO neck dive and the balance is just perfect. Will take pics tonight.

This is a very rough guide from my experiences... American valves, general electric and RCA...... Big clean sound, lots of bass and treble. Britsh valves, Brimar and Mullard....... Soft and warm with great bass. Euro valves, Valvo and Telefunken.....very neutral with balanced sound. You can also change te gain... Ecc83 = 100 Ecc81= 60 Ecc82= 20 These are very rough findings and are not complete as there are many other valves that can be used to change the gain and tone. Hope this helps.

Jon thought the black ebony board would be to dark with all the black hardware so he found some wood with lighter brown yellowish stripes. Unfortunately you can't see it in the pics..... Will have to wait for pics when I get it later ths week.
