1. Just checked on mine ( I have an original 1970 Mustang and a Japan reissue ) The neck on the reissue is slightly wider and the string spacing slightly more than the original ( Only by about 1.2 mm over all 4 strings ) The bass plate appears to be identical size wise and screw hole wise, but the saddles are slightly chunkier on the reissue! I think you would probably get away with the reissue bridge, but obviously the strings will be closer to the edge of the neck! You are welcome to call in and check it out for yourself if you are around the Leeds area! Will.

 5. Does any member know where I can get hold of a single MIM style guitar tuner as fitted to my mexican strat? The one with the 2 prongs! I have one that is faulty but the others are fine and I don't really want to have to buy a full set! -- Have searched E-bay and usual suppliers but no joy! Will.
 6. Thanks Eric! It is a really great Classic Bass -- Just a pity I can only manage Short scale in my old age! Will.

 10.
Thats a nice looking jazz you have there Will, just so happens im in a red fase at the mo lol. I still have that landing by the way. For any of you who havent delt with Will I can personaly vouch for his good bass taste.
Thanks for those kind words Steve! -- The Landing is still the best short scale I have ever played ( and amazing build quality too ) -- Just a shame I couldn't get on with the EMG pups! Will.
 11. Thanks for the photos, never seen one like that before -- It looks to be in remarkable condition for a 50+ year old instrument, but its not my cup of tea! Will
 12. Amazingly still available! ---- BUMP
 13. Another of my much loved but unused Long scale basses! Lovely old Guild B-301 Bass Was originally white / cream ( still visible in control cavity ) but has been stripped ( A long while ago ) and now is natural with an oiled ( Tru Oil I believe ) finish that shows off the Stunning original one piece solid Mahogany body and neck in all its glory. It is all original as far as I can tell -- The CTS Volume pot is dated 2nd week of Jan 1978 and the Stackpole pot for Tone is dated November 1974 plus original Bumble Bee cap and Switchcraft jack. The pickup is original and sounds fantastic! Truss rod works easily and correctly. Serial no. Dates it to 77 or early 78. Still has plenty of life in the frets and is recently strung with a set of Lakland / GHS Flats - Plays really well and sounds fantastic! Comes with an old but serviceable hard case! Weighs a comfortable 4.1 kg. You are more than welcome to come over and try out this vintage tone monster for yourself! ( Very close to J46 of M1 ) Will

 17.
Whereabouts in Leeds are you? I'm half tempted to come and take a look, even though I definitely don't need another bass, seeing as I can't actually play the three I already own. But I am in Leeds.
Hi You are more than welcome to come and try the Levin with no obligation --I live in LS15 Close to J46 of M1 North! Will.
