I'd hate to see his idea of high action - My Cheap Chinese Double bass came with lower action than that!
my Grind 6 had better action than that wen it came from thomann and as 7string will vouch you could have abseiled from mine

  2. I didnt like the nano bass balls much, to subtle and not hugely adjustable. to be fair i didnt get to try it at much volume because of snotty shop staff but lets just say i wasnt blown away. I am sticking to my Digitech BSW for weird ass funky sounds.

  3.
ok, now this is something I wanted to do for kicks, as I have 2 small neon tubes (from PC tuning, etc) hanging around the house...

though I'd like to go a little further... but I dont know how.

The idea is to make the neons react (shifting in intensity) to the input level (clipping?) so that it would get more intense on harder picked notes and softer on lightly picked ones.

Does anyone have any Idea of how to do this?
dunno if this helps in anyway: mxforum thread

  4.
Dang, why can't we do as EVH did and describe it in shades/tones of colour? I like chocolatey brown with a dash of fresh cream.
My sound at the moment is too green brown I am looking for a more purple blue, seriously...well kinda

I would love to try some markbass stuff at some point. Anyone know of a stockist in central Scotland

  5.
extended range bass or ERB if you will, would be the correct term for the "instrument" in my avatar.
no no no the correct term is "power ranger"

    or alternatively

    superbassharpdoodah :)

just kiddin dude that Bee Bass is gonna be awesome

  6. OK i will attempt to understand that lol. I know very little about the technical side and science of these things.

I was just wondering how good it would sound with a low B. Basically at the moment I have trace elliot head and a peavey 15" cab and the low end i good but it is far to muddy sounding with very little top end. The cab in the link interested me because i have heard endless good comments about BFM design and i also liked the more traditional aesthetics. I am merely clocking up possibilities for when i have cash.

how would the bottom end on that kinda beast be? It looks uber cool but being the omni top model will it handle say a low B without a sub?
