Total Watts

  1. Finished this cab a while ago, If you like Phat you will love one of these. Not the cheapest and you need little patients. But im very pleased with the end result. It has stood up to lots of work and not missed a beat. You need to try something like this to experience what good drivers can do for your sound. No More Mud
  2. Finshing cab is taking some time. With a little care its starting to come together pretty well. Had a bit of a c**k up with the crossover. I wanted to get my 18year old son involved with the build, and he decided in his wisdom to reverse the colour coding live and common ground. I doesnt really matter but it does my head in. It all looks pretty rock solid, which it will have to be when taken out into battle. Im a bit worried about rattles but time will tell. When finished I will AB it with my trace SMX 4X10 and be ultra critical. Total Build cost will be 398.50p
  3. Matt Black car spray paint, ran out of masking tape (job for the week end) or maybe this evening, you never know!
  4. Just worked out how to post Pics, Got a great price well trade price on the drivers that will be coming soon
  5. Speaker Builder Prebuilt Kit, minus coils (coming soon) Cab Painted in Wine Red Tuffcab. Finish is looking good, Much better than expected. Used about 2/3 of a 1KG tub to give you an idea. [attachment=138201:Speaker Builder Prebuilt 1261.jpg] [attachment=138202:Cab After Tuffcab.jpg]
  6. Got my prebuilt yesterday. All the stuff minus drivers. The quality is awesome. No DIY look here. The team at speaker builder have been sorting production issues out for a while!! I ordered the cab back in November, taking a punt on the product as I like to support small independent's, and my SMX trace is killing my back (okay I'm soft). I'll bung some photos up as soon as I get my sh*t together. It isn't always about the name on the front (ampeg had to start somewhere) and we all buy products for the name, sometimes its good to take a risk, lets hope I've not shot myself in the foot. Good job Richard and Mike. Its a fearful 12/6/1 Cube
  7. Mines coming soon 12/6/1 Cube just to go with a carvin BX500
  8. Looked at lots of lightweight gear, Bought one of these from Bass Gear to go with my LB70P. Tried it out with a recording session late last night, What a sound, it made an old Aria sound just like an old school Gibson short scale with ease, Used DI out on a indi folk track (not what its going to be used for) not really my scene but the audio was perfect. Very pleased, I think people should look around and try something a little different. This can do the whole range from Ampeg to Trace, I should know ive used the lot over the years.
  9. Richard just checking how your getting on with greenboy and kits etc just herd a little whisper!!!!!
  10. Any chance of a copy of your CNC files. (Strictly for a self build project)
  11. I play a Carvin LB70P had it made in states and imported it back cost £810 15 years ago. Its my Number One for Live Work. Never fails and can do anything. Its all in the material its made from American walnut wings, maple neck ebony fingerboard, thru neck and carbon reinforced neck. Its a bit fancy but does the job. Id only change it for an SB4000
