Always preferred the Subs version of "She's Not There" to the Zombies slightly wet original...

And Dead Kennedys' "Vive Las Vegas" is considerably better than Elvis's!

When I were a lad I had an album of covers called, "We do 'em our way".

That had the Sub's version of 'She's Not There' on it, as well as 'Friday on my Mind' by a band called The Golant Pistols, of particular interest to me as Golant was a local village. Turns out they were the house band (of sorts) at Sawmill Studios featuring the late great Al Hodge.

But the stand out for me was The Slits' version of 'Heard it Through the Grapevine'. A fantastic funked up version that maybe doesn't beat the original, but gives it a run for its money.

    Hey peeps.

I purchased the mighty plug pro this month to replace my NUX MLD preamp pedal for home practice. I’m finding that on a full charge it only lasts at most one hour. I connect my Bose noise cancelling headphones and sometimes play along to YouTube tracks.

I think this has amazing potential but everytime I get into a vibe or I’ve made up a chord progression it dies. Very dejecting. 😭

What are people getting out of a full charge?

I'm not sure exactly how long I get from a full charge as it's never gone from full to empty in one sitting, but it's a lot more than one hour, maybe five or six hours.

When I practise it's usually for about an hour to an hour and a half and I get a good few sessions out of it before it needs charging.

Kind of intrigued now as to how long it does actually last.

Mine is the mp-2 rather than the pro but I can't see there being that big a difference.

  3. I bought an Encore Precision a couple of years ago in a charity shop and it is genuinely one of my favourite basses, among some much, much more expensive ones.

It has some amazing grain on the body which is solid wood, the neck also has some nice grain and quilting, and a lovely piece of rosewood for the fretboard.

A bit of love and a Tonerider pickup and it sounds and play fantastic.

Well, I've got a Matt Freeman Squire Precision (white) and a Westone Thunder III in cherry  going up for sale somewhere if that would class as redemption? 😎🤞

oh.. when did these come out. I will have to see what the spec difference are.

Off the the internet rabbit hole 🕳️ 🏃🏾‍♂️

My apologies, but you won't find one.

I like to confuse people with this picture.

I did the conversion myself in a bid to convince myself I didn't need a Peter Hook BB (BBPH), then ended up with a BBPH a few months later.
