1. I sold Joe my FEA LABS Compressor/Limiter. He was a pleasure to deal with throughout, fast payment, good communications. Happy Days.
2. Yeah, the reason you never see FEA labs pedals in comparison lists or back to back reviews is that nobody can ever get hold of one.
3. The best ones I have had are this FEA DB-CL, T-Rex Squeezer tube compressor, Akai Hexacomp (old school one with all the sliders), and I have played through a rackmount DBX 160A. The DBX was awesome, but the FEA labs one is just as good, both very transparent. However the FEA has more tweakabiity than the DBX. And you don't have to rackmount it...
4. I bought this brand new in 2015 after being on the waiting list. Never gigged just played at home. Completely mint. I quit playing about 2 months later and never really used this. I got sent away wraith work a few weeks after I bought this and my new job was travelling all the time. No time to play. I have the original manual etc, although you can find all the info and download here. https://www.fealabs.com/products/db-cl/ These are very rare, I was on the waiting list for 2 years and then got given a small time window to pay up or lose my place. For me this is the perfect compressor. It is so clean and makes a fat sound or anything you like. 9v power or battery. I would prefer face to face, so great news if you are in the south west..
5. Now on the dreaded ebay. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Akai-Hexacomp-Bass-compressor-excellent-condition-rare-well-regarded/184575838984
6. No actual wear but faded colour. It was out all the time, and has been well used by me, in fact the main board failed and was replaced by Zoom, I have all the paperwork to show. Has hardly been used since as I kinda settled on one sound and don't need so many features. Great bit of kit for the developing player who wants to experiment, or good for gigging where you cover a range. It programmable and you can usb off the programs to edit etc. Also a good DI. and good for recording digital stuff. Price includes insured postage. I'll be sad to see this go but just never use it.
7. Hardly used, excellent condition, boxed with power supply. Price includes UK insured post. Compressor is well adjustable and gives a great sound. In Exeter, you a free to pop round and have a play. Edit - forgot pics.
8. This compressor is rare as hens teeth now, its like new with no wear. There is a small scratch on the back as seen in the photos. Otherwise mint. Highly regarded compressor. Price includes insured postage. I am in Exeter if you want to come and have a look. FYI This week I need to take some more pics and will also post for sale : FEA LABS Dual Band Compressor-Limiter 2015 Unused Mint T Rex Squeezer Boss RC2 Loop Station Zoom B2.1U Multi effects
9. Fast postage, all accurate. Good guy to deal with. Cheers Nick.
10. Hi I have tried to log into this site but not getting any email confirmations of my registration... Is it dead?

12. As a bit of a useless bass player I find I make the most progress learing songs I like. I'm addicted to the bass line in this tune Hit or Miss by Odetta, I've searched everywhere but cannot find the bass tab, does anyone have anything? (was recently used in a cheesy southern comfort ad, parodied today by Harry Enfield) https://www.youtube....h?v=gVNeozIH2SQ
13. My underplayed Crafter BA-400EQ/N Fretless Acoustic Bass is up for sale, excellent condition. Hardly used, I just always pick up my electric, so it seems a shame to keep it and not play it. Includes soft case. £250 posted.
14. All good advice, thanks, I'm hunting around for a used one. Cheers
15. So thinking of getting a double bass - I'm a crap bassist at best but just want to bang out acoustic - basic, lines for when we are unplugged.. Will this be any good or is it just too horrific to consider? I dunno if I can stretch to £1k for what is essentially a hobby and the odd gig for anyone foolish enough to listen to our rubbish.. g4m £429..
16. I am learning (still after umpteen years) and have joined a little band locally. we have an unpaid gig coming up at a local music festival, my very first.. So there are some tracks that the band already play but I need to provide some basic bass lines for, unfortunately I cannot find anything on the bass tab sites so I wonder if anyone here knows these songs or is sharp enough to work out the tab without going to too much effort. Songs are James River Blues by Old Crow Medicine Show I hear them all by Old Crow Medicine Show My Oklahoma Home by Bruce Springsteen I can provide mp3's of all three taken from my cd's if you want.
17. Does anyone have a good source or know of a book of bass tab for xmas carols. Our little band of troubadours are doing a christmas gig for the kids. I am a seriously crap bassist, still a beginner, and need to learn these basic tunes.... I already have: Jingle bells We wish you a merry xmas Silent Night I would love to have: Good king wencleslas We three kings Little donkey and any others ! Thanks in advance.
