Digital scales read 3.98kg.

It ~feels~ light for a P-bass.

Up for grabs is my Xotic XP-1T.

I've owned this from new (bought from Bass Direct) for a number of years. For a while it was my go-to bass and has that lovely deep P thump but with the active circuit you can get pretty much any sound you want out of it.

It has come time to downsize my collection and this just isn't played as often as it should be for a bass this nice.

It comes with the original semi-rigid xotic case if collected.

I bought this bass from new about 3 years ago. It's had light use over the last couple of years in punk and rock bands but for the past year or so it's just been gathering dust and so has to be moved on.

It is on the heavy side, so I wouldn't buy it if you have a bad back. It balances well for a bass of this shape.

IIRC the neck options were asymmetrical with a zero degree radius board.

String spacing was the standard option available, which according to here: http://www.carvinworld.com/catalog/guitars/xb75 is .690" (1.8 cm)

This. Many times. I went for the -15db acs custom mould jobbies http://acscustom.com/uk/product/acs-pro-15/ (Boots audiologist can do the mould easily and cheaply enough).

I started with the 25s but they were too occlusive. So it's now loud enough, but no ringing in ears post-gig. It does take a while to attune to them, but it's worth it in the end.

Just to echo the sentiment - I followed my Grandfather's advice: "Giving up is easy, you just have to want to quit more than want to smoke."

Much happier without the cost, smell and addiction.

I can't remember how much it was: I was living in the USA at the time, and it came direct from Carvin - about ten years ago!

They don't hold their value well, which I've never really understood.

As for the F#, I had a 1x15 that seemed to do it justice. Most ERB have the low F# on there.

...and as the original owner of this bass (ordered it from Carvin) I too can vouch for it's amazingness.

I strung it F# B E A D and it took it no problem.

Will someone please take this before I do something I regret involving selling a kidney...
