Earl Faulkner off UB40 had some sub thing that he stood on to "feel the bass". Only a few inches tall. I want one of those. Probably no help to you though, but there you go - the joy of forums.

I put 84's into me CIJ Geddy Lee. Dropped straight in, no scratchplate mods needed either. DO IT!

The SansAmp Para Driver DI - monster OD when I'm not using it as a direct DI (which most of the time as there's a a tube in the ABM). The sweepable mid gets it right where you want it and the blend knob keeps the bottom end intact. Bloody expensive fuzz box though, even though I somehow avoided import duty. Shhh...

Tuners all the way for me, that mute is invaluable. An Arion HU-8500 'till it grew legs, then a Boss TU-2. The Arion mysteriously reappeared on Saturday night though, in my guitarists pedal chain. Unless of course he'd bought a new one, immediately lost the white plastic cover and scratched "John" on the bottom of it.

Oh yes and paid too much ! Top pub, I'm there before the footy every week too, no free beer then though! A recommended venue!

The Nell Gwynne, Southsea, Sat 19th. After the hour of fixing the saddle of the guitarists Fender Jag, another hour failing to get the lighting loom on the trailer working we played a fair gig in the most bass-sucking room this year. Fixed benches all round, leaving a nice 2-foot gap between amp and wall. The pool table was handy for the guitarists 2x12 though.

And why did Ashdown make the cab handles stick out just a little bit too much to safely turn the cabs on their sides? Doh! Nice to find a fault with the Ashdown like so many others here have though, I don't feel excluded anymore. Just need a Precision to really belong!

EDIT: It's a 1/16". Shame the Allen key marked 1/16" was too small. Don't buy B&Q, buy RS!
