1. In 1 - a Cruiser 15B practice amp as seen here, ideal bedroom amp with headphone out, no longer needed as I now have an ABM combo in the bedroom with no headphone out, much to Mrs Lagers chagrin.

£50 new a year or 2 ago, how about £30 posted, £20 collected from Brighton(ish - could meet..?) - mint condition - used less than the average exercise bike. Well mine anyway, which will be apparent to anyone interested in collecting these bits.

    Thanks, John.

In 2 - SOLD [s]a Spider Entry Level Pedalboard Case. Small.

Used once in anger, cost me £30 2 weeks ago - how does £15 posted as the original Velcro has had an accident. A fiver off eBay will get you some more.

Totally mint condition, just too small for my ever expanding pedal collection, specifically the Jo-Lo Hyperdrive :) [/s]

  2. The first time I tried b.vox, I dislocated my knee and was off work for 3 months with a bucket of codeine and a shiny new xbox360. Unfortunately, though I continue "singing" my yob backing vocals (which incidentally, take 2nd place to the bass), I have not been fortunate enough to injure myself in such a spectacular fashion.

Mind you, if that bloke off W.A.S.P. can do it.....

  3. The drummer suggesting changes to "improve" the songs, then getting the fear live and refusing to play 'em.

The singer/guitarist chap starting the songs a semi-tone out. At least I fixed his fender Jag E-string popping out problem for him.

No one listening to my idea of trying to play with our individual EQ to find our own sound space. Actually, what I mean is so it doesn't interfere with my sound :). Selfish lot.

  4. I've absolutely no idea. I might have been a member of BW in a previous life though, 'cos there's a link in me favourites list. Glad I'm here and been "forced" into spending a ton of money on stuff that I probably don't need and certainly doesn't help me play any better though. :)

  5. I've got a small Spider - it's great, next day delivery too.

And here's one for all you spider lovers out there :)

  6.
i rang specsavers this morning for some er-20s for a gig tonight. they don't have any stock in the specsavers shop in the town i work in. they can order them, but if i could wait, i'd just order 'em off ebay for half the price
Gutted. Tell 'em all to turn down :)

  7.
been nagging me for a while so i'll ask here, does anyone really notice the subharmonic generator with it on or do you really need something like a sub cab to get the effect from it? i just figured mine did not much at all.
Seems to work ok on single notes up the dusty end (when turned up full), but what Machines said really.

  8.
Ok - so now I've got a BadAss 2 on the way and I'm on the verge of ordering a set of Wizard 64s, I now need to decide on which tuning machines to buy, and where from.

I am considering a D-Tuner/Bass XTender key for the low E on both my Jazz and my Streamer Std so I was wondering if Hipshot would be the best all round bet as I could reduce postage by getting everything at once. Would it be best to order direct from Hishot's website or are their better places to buy from?

Which model of machines will fit a Squier VM Jazz?

Are the Lite versions of the trad machines worth the extra cost? I'm also worried that losing mass at the headstock could adversely affect tone.
I got a Hipshot BT-2 (from Thomann) on me Geddy Lee. If you are unsure about which model you need, try asking Hipshot directly, they are really helpful - I rounded grub screw off by using what was supposedly a 1/16" allen key (thanks B&Q) and they sent me 2 new grub screws & a 1/16" allen key for nowt.

As for going lite, I wouldn't, them necks are skinny enough! (IMO)

And 84's are les couilles du chien mush, if you're thinking Wizards (IMO again). Speak to Andy, tell him what you want and he'll tell you what you need...

My only suggestion would be that if you think you can get mroe money on ebay for it, then thats exactly what you should do. Wheres the community spirit eh! we're basically beating inflation with this place!

    Yup.

  10. Waterloovile social club. Like bloody Phoenix Nights, but scarier. Until the guiarist pointed out that I was probaly the scariest looking bloke in there. We then made a small child cry and were asked to turn down and finish up early. They like covers bands (apparently), but the sh*te we play wasn't the most popular.
