1. If you're looking for a 5, you could do a lot worse than this Schecter

If you don't get on with it, you won't lose much (if any) money selling it on, and they're really well built instruments for the price.

  2. Avery make a laser-printable vinyl label, available in A4 sheets, in silver and white. Print everything in 'negative' and it looks a treat, especially the silver, really subtle looking. Not the toughest stuff around, tends to rub off if it's treated roughly, but clear sticky film over the top should protect it pretty well.

  3. +1. Certainly good value for money even though a few of the presets are a bit, well... crap I think describes it best. Once you get into playing around with the settings though, there's some really useful stuff on there, and the control pedal just doubles its usefulness. As long as you're not expecting it to sound like a high end processor, you won't be disappointed.

  4. Small mixer, power amp, pair of cabs on stands and a single monitor wedge. There's 3 vocal mics and an old knackered mic in the kick drum to give it a bit more definition. Just backline & acoustic drums otherwise, but there's only 3 of us and we only play pub size gigs, so plenty loud enough.

  5. Alien (noun)

A shy and retiring creature, which likes to remain inconspicuous by standing on stages and making a lot of noise. Can often be found in a place known only as 'the shed', where he whiles away the hours turning piles of old junk into useful objects (or is that useful objects into piles of old junk? My memory's not what it was)

Alien has been producing low frequency vibrations for about half his life, and for the most part doesn't seem to get much better at it. He can occasionally be seen fronting PsychoMojo, a three piece covers band, and depping for pretty much anyone who asks (because he's a bit of a tart that way.)
