A fantastic amp at a fantastic price, I got the 450 version and it is loud and the tone can be anything between clean to super deep. Not heavy and easy to carry.

What else to ask for an amp?

good luck with your sale mate.

Cheers mate :) bump!

2. Moving on my Peavey Tour 700 as I've recently moved to Orange. This amp has been reliable as hell in the 4 years I've owned it, never let me down and has spent its life in a rack case so is in very good condition. Everything works on the amp, no loose knobs or dials. This pushes out 500W at 8ohms and 700W at 4ohms. Would prefer collection from Southend or nearby Essex areas but may have a box to post in if the buyer arranges courier etc. Any questions, let me know!

Would prefer a sale, but would consider a trade for a reasonably lightweight 4ohm cab, either a 2x10, 2x12 or 4x10.

3. Haven't posted in a while so I'm a bit out of touch with the latest comings and goings of the Basschat world, but can anyone let me know if Stringbusters is still reliable?

It's getting too expensive for me to be buying one or two sets of Kalium strings now so I'm looking to switch to GHS Bass Boomers instead as the bassist from Architects uses them and has a great sound. Anyway, ordered a set from Stringbusters (who I have used before 3/4 years ago without an issue) first thing on Wednesday 23rd November, honestly expecting them to arrive by first class post on Thursday or Friday at the latest.

Monday rolls around and still no strings so I give them a call, after noticing on their website my order says "awaiting dispatch". I get told that their website isn't working properly and that the strings have actually been dispatched and should've arrived by now so I said I'd give Royal Mail another day to be sure (it is the busy season after all). Tuesday comes, no strings, so I give Stringbusters another call and they say they'll do another invoice and send out another set. Didn't receive an email confirming a second set had been dispatched or that they had put the order through again or anything but meh, no big deal.

Fast forward to weekend just gone and still no sign of either first or second set of strings from them. I ring them on Saturday a few times and keep getting a non-personalised voicemail, so I leave all my details and ask them to call me back to see if we can sort it out and today passed without any contact from them at all.

I'm a little bit pissed off now to be honest, if I had needed the strings urgently I'd be screwed but as I don't I feel I've been pretty lenient with them. At this point I feel tempted to just ask for a refund and go to Strings Direct or something. I know it's only £30 but it's not the point :(

Can anyone offer any advice on how to proceed or give me any reassuring feedback about them to put my mind at ease?

Cheers

4. Have ditched the rack setup now so I've got all this going spare and want it out of the way. Forgive the crappy photos.

- Black Rat 4U 19" deep rack case, good condition, nothing fancy but does the job.
- 2U sliding shelf. Again, good condition, has velcro on it but could easily be removed I imagine.
- 1U static shelf. Same, good condition.

The only thing in the photos that's not included is the patch panel, my guitarist has pinched that.

Collection only for this stuff I'm afraid (Southend, Essex) and would prefer it to all go at the same time, but I may split if there's interest.

£50 the lot which I think is fair.

5. Moving this along as it's not getting used anymore, really versatile overdrive pedal, capable of just adding the tiniest bit of grit through to full on mental distortion. Don't see them pop up often. Has the "ToneLock" style buttons which I would put on every single pedal out there if I had the choice.

Haven't got the original box but I'll find something suitable to package it in.

£45, collection from Southend in Essex. Postage available, it's a heavy pedal so probably about a fiver.
