1. just a quick add, I'd personally say that if you're looking for a range of tones the Lakland will probably suit you more. In my experience I've found rays to be one trick ponies. Thing is, they do said trick fantastically

  2.
How does the post count thing work then?

I've spent the last few hours ars1ng about on 'Off Topic' but according to the count I've posted 12 times today! Surely not :)
I'd guess it goes by the last 24hours and looking quickly at your post history you've posted in:

all not in off topic so there's gotta be about 12 posts in there somewhere.

    Thread whore

  3. Under a day left and still at £450. Bargain! If its your thing of course :)

  4. Heads up guys, doesn't have the word thumb anywhere in the listing so other people may miss it. Could be a decent deal if you get it for the opening value or there abouts:

  5.
I play alot of stuff metal, ska, rock, punk, reggae so i guess i'd like something pretty versatile.

I liked the k5 cus ive played one once and liked it, read good reviews and as a bonus (except for the k5 inlay) looks sexy lol.
I'd say if you've played it and you like it then get it instead of buying blind with other 5ers

  6.
Maths comment was sarcasm in response to insinuating I couldn't work out dimensions.

I happen to have a career in the field of law so am quite knowledgeable about what is/is not abusive, slander and defamation of character.
Josh....does 5im0n really need you to act as his defence counsellor him or is it a case of us boys stick together?
I won't tar you all with the same brush as I know there are some mature members on this site who are very welcoming and helpful to newbies and understand the frustrations of trying to get sensible replies.
Hah! Since when did this become about you being female?

You know what, I'm gonna leave this- I think 5im0n can quite easily show you where you're going wrong by himself, sorry for butting in on this public forum. I didn't realise it was a private conversation?!

  7. if I recall correctly the K5 is Fieldy's (bassist from Korn) signature bass so if you're wanting that kind of tone (more scoop than and ice cream shop) then it'll be fine, couldn't say how good it is at other types of music though. There are loooooads of 5 strings at decent prices-

What tone are you going for?
Do you prefer small or chunky necks?
What kind of music do you play?

All questions to which the answers will help you find the bass you want
Ah, I know....isn't it something along the lines of the name of a person who hurls pancakes in the air?
    Work that out for yourselves.
9. An unexpected drain on my finances has occured and as such I now need to offload some of my gear. As such I am forced to sell my Jazzman which I have had for just under a month. The bass had a faulty preamp when I bought it and as such I have replaced it with an ACG 4K/PT with a low battery indicator (LED that flashes when battery is running out).
The body is in OK condition but not perfect. There is a patch in the finish in the slap/pop locations and also under the bridge by the preamp. Apart from that there are a few small dings in the wood and a little bit of buckle rash.

Here's a link to the manual for the preamp and a review for it which is on this site: manual and review
Here's a link to the Warwick bass info: link

    A pic for you:

I bought this bass for £530. The preamp plus battery indicator plus fitting came to just over £260

My asking price is £750 plus P+P

I will be listing this on ebay at 99p no reserve but will pull it if someone on here wants it or if it doesn't reach around my asking price because I'm an unscrupulous bastard.

    Thanks,

    Josh

  10. Whoever is on the trumpet (I assume?) at about 1.35 sounded awful. Didn't think the sax was that bad (though obviously not perfect). The rest of the band, or at least the parts I could hear, sounded great though!

I'd agree with your diagnoses that the brass is letting down the band. The aformentioned bit at 1.35 really stuck in my head and marred what is, to my ears, a good song.
