1. Hey everyone, here's a new free bass tab video to practice and experiment the flamenco slap technique, a great tool to develop finger style bass line with fast tempos minimizing the effort. I hope you will find it helpful. Let's groove!
2. Last but not least, I just forgot to post a recent video sounds test of the new Hartle LX8500 paired with the HD410. Hope you guys will find it helpful!
3. Hey man sorry for the delay. Anyway I definitely agree with the previous comments. These cabs are just amazing, the quality price ratio is outstanding, but not only, their tone, especially when you run two of them, fits so many music and working scenario. I've been always a huge fan of the 10" speaker, starting from the 210 to 410 of course and I confess that before using Hartke, I had Aguilar db112 paired with the TH500. They sounds good too but back than, I was always preferring the 10" speakers because I like clarity and definition. But now with these two things changed. Currently I'm using both of them with the horn on on the second position, no full no off, they sounds amazing, punchy, warm, clean and bright. The 410 is still my favorite cab as well now the 12”. Two HD112 are the best versatile cabs you can get, works well with almost any head, super advised.! If you any other questions or need more help just let know 😉
4. Hello everyone, just find out this thread and I would love to share my latest video recorded with my loyal NYC 24fret. Thank you for watching. Cheers. Enrico
5. Here we go guys, just released a new free bass tutorial. It's a full lesson on how soloing on a G Blues with just using simple pentatonic scales. Hope you will like the lesson. Let's groove.
6. Here we go guys, here a second video with free bass chart tabs to download from youtube. It's a great exercise to develop alternate fingerings and plucking, awesome for both hands techniques. I suggest to start from slow tempos as 60 bpm and then skipping by 20 bpm, for example 60-80-100-120, you will improve your time keeping skills too. This exercise at fast tempos would be terrific as warm-up. If you need any help please let me know. Ciao.
7. Good morning guys, I would love to share with the all bass community the first of a video series, I will upload with free tabs covering, exercises, transcriptions and more. On the Youtube page the download link. "DNA" by Hans Zimmer is a fantastic exercise to practice with flamenco slap, regular slap or just fingering sextuplets progressions. The next episode would be a classic permutation exercise to improve alternative fingering on both hands and if you wish to suggest a topic for the next one feel free to let me know. For now please enjoy KalEl slap 😁
8. Good morning guys, here a new free bass tabs video, the intro section from "High Damper".
9. Dear Bass Chat fellas, I published a new video review for the Hartke Bass Attack 2 preamp - DI. 180 seconds of grooves and different styles to fully test this little magic box. I used two basses to emphasise the versatility of this pedal, my Ibanez BTB and one of my four strings, a timeless passive Fender Jazz Bass. If you are looking for a preamp pedal with great quality-price ratio, give it a check. Hope you will find the video useful. Let's groove! Enrico
10. Thank you 😊 and yes, I wasn't a big fan of the Nordys the BTB originally have. Two much middles to my hears and very low signal, I remember that my regular fender jazz bass had way more volume. The EMG was a great improvement, even with the factory preamp. Thank you for watching.
11. Here it is a new video my Ibanez fellas 🙂
12. Probably the main difference on SDGR and BTB is the body shape and the neck profile, electronics are more or less similar, especially for preamps, pickups now are different even between premium and standard lines. Anyway the huge difference is the strings spacing but only on 5 strings with some exceptions, six strings and btb 33" use the tight 17mm string spacing. Premium and Standard btb 5, the regular 19 mm. it seems that Ibanez is going to use the wide strings spacing often on further models. Adam Nitti signature basses have the 18mm strings spacing and I believe that Thundercat 6 strings has the 19mm too. The pickups on BTB usually were Nordstrand on premium models but, now they switched to Aguilars. Bartlolini is still on the standard models. On my YouTube there are several videos where you can hear the same BTB with the factory preamp but different pickups, Nordstrand and EMG. If you need more help just let me know :-) Ciao. Enrico
13. Good morning fellas, lately I had the chance to check the latest 12" cabinet from Hartke, the 112B. It's a bit different than the HD, because is a 4 ohm native cabinet and doesn't have a horn but it sounds very nice, here's the new video test. Hope you will find it helpful and wish to you all a groovy weekend. Ciao!
14. Good Morning guys, here's a couple of new videos recorded (and free tabs ) with the Ibanez Btb after I upgraded it with EMG pups. The first one recorded directly from the Hartke TX600 DI. The second recorded using only the pups, bypassing the onboard preamp through different DI, compressor and an outboard preamp, I like to experiment . Thank you for watching. Let's groove!
15. The specs are very similar, but the new HD series has more punch on the lows. Compared to the regular HyDrive cabinet, the HD are warmer, but keeps the same middle and treble of the previous one. Right now I set both cabs (the same in the video) with full HF driver and it sounds just great because the other frequencies are well balanced.
16. Thank you man and I definitely agree with you, EMG sounds great on Ibanez and with the tone from the amp, the balance is perfect!
17. Dear UK fellas here is my first video with my new Hartke rig. I worked on some grooves with different dynamics and I recorded the bass using the DI from the TX600 and merging it with the signal from the mic on the cab. It's a great combination, the DI has a perfect clean tone and the cab add the warm/punchy tone needed. The HD cab compared to the previous series, are a bit warmer and punchy. Here we go:
18. Only for sale my Aguilar Tone Hammer 500 head, in excellent condition. Always used in my studio as practice/recording amp together the DB112 cabinet (for sale too). Rarely used on live gigs. I can ship it everywhere in Europe.
19.
I've always liked that finish on those basses - looks awesome. Great playing too Enrico!!
Thank you Wilco!
20.
Very nice playing and a great sound, shows off your talent Note: I love the Aguilar pups and Ibby pre-amp in my BTB1805. I also love the ergonomics too as it is very comfortable and easy to play. I notice that you position it in the same way that I do when sitting and on the strap the neck sits up high easily, which helps my dodgy joints.
Thank you man, I appreciate it . I definitely agree with you, they made great upgrades on the 1805, I had the chance to play it quickly and I noticed several improvements, first of all, as you find out, the body ergonomics, now easier to play especially when sitting and the aguilar pups with the now the three band mid selector is a great step forward! I hope to watch soon some of your videos with the BTB!
21.
That's some serious playing Enrico, love it! Lovely bass too.
Thanks Cameron !
