If you ever get the chance to see a band called Obsession take it.... we`ve got the best Schenker impersonator out there.

They're not absolutely identical but the Nova looks very much like a set of these mounted on a baseplate:
Bought a set for a project (that I've yet to get around to) after seeing this thread:

And they're tiny! Interesting to catch up on that build to see that @DarkHeart eventually opted to use one of the Hohner clone units rather than these, and they do look like they'd be more suited to a guitar build than a bass. I'll persevere (eventually) as the individual units will actually overhang the end of the body I'm using to the extent I'll not need to route or modify it. Not convinced E string thickness won't be an issue but we'll see.
Looks like the Nova intonates in the same way - each unit slides on the baseplate to adjust string length.
It works, quite well actually, better than the rubbish neck I put on. For what they cost it`s worth a punt. Definitely use some washers on the adjusters though and grease it well.

Wenge, no guard lots of lovely grain on show.

Does the neck fall into the `baseball bat ` camp?

I`ve bought a 1x12 GK cab already plus a barefaced cab is way to much for me unfortunately.

Cracking bass, I wouldn`t put a guard on it either but it`s your bass, Ive got the 4 string JS3Q in trans black, had it for sale for ages but will possibly keep it and change the pups.

Ok, just bought a GK 112 cab, still not small enough to go in the boot but sits nicely on the front seat or possibly the back as its light enough to lift, I`ll probably now sell my complete Hartke rig as theres no way I can get the 1x15 into the car without dropping the roof every time I want to move it, plus at the moment it lives in the front room and the mrs is starting to notice! I`ve got a spare LH500 I can pair with the cab but was thinking about one of the micro 500w heads. The search continues.

The 9-3 has a decent sized boot. Does it have to fit on the seat? If it does, I reckon Lozz is right.
Not the convertible unfortunately.
I was toying with a 1x12 4ohm cab 300w minimum, I`ve got Hartke LH1000, LH500 and 300w Gallien Krueger heads, I was toying with selling the LH1000 to finance the smaller rig which is definitely an option I`m open to.

I`ll have this if you`ve still got it.

There`s a Hipshot bridge with 20mm string spacing on this very forum, not mine I may add I`ve just spotted it after reading this thread.

I`ve always found with JBXN`s that you have to screw them down further into the body than you would with a normal pickup otherwise they just distort and fart a lot.

I`ve just scratched a big itch of mine as regards transport, unfortunately it doesn`t have the room for the 2x10 plus 1x15, plus heads room my old car had (joys of topless motoring) what would people recommend that might fit on the front seat of a Saab 9-3 convertible?

Very nice!
