  1. Selling my Fender Bassman 100 combo as basically its not what i need, nothing wrong with the amp itself its just not ballsey enough for my needs, would make a cracking practice amp for someone but not me. No postage sorry, collection or delivery within an agreed mileage only as i work all working days. got to be worth £80 to someone as thats far less than i paid for it.

  2. Ive just put together a mongrel fretless built out of bits from about 4 different basses, i bought an axl fretless neck off a member on here and last week bought a cheap precision copy body off the bay, added to a pickup and bridge off my washburn and the electrics out of my thunderbird im actually amazed at the results, its got a lovely action and sounds quite good too, the bridge is maybe a couple of millimetres out of line but at the moment im not bothered as an introduction to fretless at £50 its a bargain! ill get a better pic sorted shortly.

ive moved the bridge a smidge and filled in the fret slots, the bridge still isnt perfect but im going to leave it now

  3. Hi to you all from (currently sunny) Crook in Co Durham, im new to the forum but not new to the bass, im currently in a rock band called funnily enough DarkHeart. I only picked a bass back up in June last year after a 13 year hiatus and currently own 6 1/2, my collection is (chronologically) a Washburn taurus t14q, a Thunderbird copy (which i use as my test bed) , Rockbass Streamer 5 string, Washburn T25 5 string, Peavey bxp active and a Bxp passive both in the gorgeous Tiger eye finish, the 1/2 is a fretless neck to possibly be retro fitted to the thunderbird. My amps are a Behringer BXL 1200 and a Fender Bassman 100 i also occasionally use a Korg AX1B. I hope i dont bore you with my sometimes (usually) daft questions! heres a pic of my collection

  4. Hi all, im new round here, i just bought a Fender Bassman 100 combo on fleabay and for some reason I expected it to be better than my Behringer 1200 and well basically it isnt, id read reviews that were very favourable each one commenting on the sound quality which to an extent is true but they also said it has a 15" speaker, only now do i find the reviews of the amp ive bought with a 10 inch speaker which isnt very loud! My question is, when i plug headphones in i can hear both through the phones and also the onboard speaker, is this right? can i just unplug the speaker so i can use it silently or have i bought a pup? Also, if i bought a seperate cab and plugged it into the back does that cut out the internal speaker and would it be worth investing in.
