4. RAH600SMX and rest of the case. As noted above, this was the top of the range Trace amp before Gibson took over, and many consider it to be unbeatable. For the last 13 years it has been treated very nicely. It was checked out when I bought it by the Bass Centre in Wapping, and has never let me down since. I have included prices in brackets if I were to split the system First off, the case. Its a Gator 8U roller case, £135 new. Good condition, scuff on the bottom left front. Lockable, but I am down one lock. (£100) Contents are: 1U blanking plate (free with Gator) Korg DTR-2 tuner (£50) Behringer Virtualiser effects unit (also have a pro, which I would be prepared to swap out) (£50) 2U lockable drawer (£35) The amp (£500) I have set the amp up with the effects unit and tuner plumbed in at the back, with the cables held in place in the rack. I have used the mono effects send (but stereo return) as the mono is a full send whereas the stereo is a high pass send. The effects volume mix for Mono is on the front, but on the rear for Stereo. The rear switch for mono is simply +10 or -4db. The bi-amping can be seen on the rear of the amp. You can opt for: - normal amping (all frequencies go through both amps) - mono bi-amping (high frequencies and low frequencies are split with different volumes for each output and variable crossover point) - Stereo bi-amping (both amps take the low frequencies only, with two separate outputs for the high frequencies to be sent to other amps. You also get pre and (stereo) post eq DI outputs with ground lift. If I could justify it, I would be keeping it. I also have an SKB 4U red badge rack case, without the wheels. Its in pretty good nick. (£50)

6.
Luke Ward used to have one of these in blue IIRC, which i can remember playing for about half an hour at the 2007 South East Bass Bash.. Though I'd just bought a really nice Lakland DJ5 that day from P-T-P, I can remember thinking rather guiltily at the time, that I liked Luke's Streamer as much if not more.. Good luck with the sale!
Here you have a golden opportunity to rectify your mistake.
7. Here we have for sale my Pre-Gibson Trace Elliot amp stack - the real deal. I have owned this for 13 years now, and it hasn't had the use it deserves. Its finally time to give it a new home. I bought it second hand in 1999 from a guy in Margate who went off to do cruises and couldn't take his beloved with him. I used the stack for a semi-pro run of three nights of Godspell for a local church, and then not a huge amount. Small church settings where I couldn't get the volume above 4 even with just the 1048H. The 1518 hasn't seen much use at all from me. The tone is lovely - if it wasn't so big, heavy and way over-powered for what I need/want (and tying up a decent amount of capital in the process) I wouldn't be selling it. RAH600SMX The rackmount version of the legendary 600 watt SMX bi-amp - two 300W amps in one. Two effects loops (one stereo), normal left and right outputs, and bi-amp switching as well, so you can split high frequencies and low frequencies, set you cabs up in high pass/low pass mono or stereo. 12 band Trace equaliser, built in dual compressor, pre and post DI outputs. All you would ever want to know is contained in the manual linked below. http://mail.foretold...ent/GP12SMX.pdf This comes in Gator 8U roller rack case. It currently has the amp, a 2U drawer for my extras (lead, strap etc) an fx unit and a rack mount tuner. Pictures of the amp are posted below (I exceeded my queue limits). I have also described how I have set the amp up, and what it can do. EDIT - Bi-amping problem identified, am hopefully getting this sorted in the next month or so. All other outputs work as intended. 1518 Standard 15" Trace cabinet. Later pre-gibson model (carpet, not vinyl, but still with the two red stripes at the bottom). Accoustically sound, but my cat took a liking to the carpet and decided to use it as a scratching post. The result is that the back right corner (sides decided from a front view, so back left as you look from the back) is absolutely fine because that was against the wall and the cat couldn't get at it. The front right corner has become a little bare as some of the carpet covering has come off (thanks, kitty). The front left is very fluffy, and the back left is very fluffy with some of the carpet coming away from the cab. This can be glued back, but you will end up with a little bit of a bare patch. However, this does nothing to the sound quality. (£125) Please, make me an offer. Whilst I'm looking for around£1,000 all in, including the rack, fx, tuner and drawer, I appreciate that the condition of the cabs might go against me. That said, this is accoustically and electronically top quality pre-gibson Trace gear. A lot of purists would say that it really doesn't get much better than this. Okay, there's now a lot on the market that is very very good, but can you really beat the Trace sound? I'm not sure that you can, which is why I'll be seriously considering another smaller Trace combo when this has gone. Sadly, I think I'll be looking at SMC, but I have a spare Trace compressor in my back pocket. I am willing to split. I would consider a trade for something smaller - I am looking for something 2-300 watts. Not sure about the speakers. I usually use my 1024 Cab, so could consider 2x10". If it had the capacity to drive an addition 15" speaker (I guess the amp and the 1024 will go quicker, so I might end up keeping the 1518) that would be good. A Trace 1210SMX would be a real goer, and I would also consider some sort of trade involving a Trace 2x10" cab. All is located in Alton, Hampshire. I would consider couriering the cabs, but that could be very expensive for you. If you took the amp, I would probably only courier that if you took a case with it. As well as the 8U rack case above, I also have an SBK(?) 4U rack case as well, but this is a plain rack - quite heavy with the amp in.
8. Bump. Adding my Pre Gibson Trace Elliot Amp (600SMX) and Cabs (1518 and 1024H) on too.
9. Bump? I invite offers. The worst I can say is 'no'.
10.
You're based in Alton, did you ever play at the Lounge Bar? Off topic I know, but at least you get a bump out of it
No, only been in Alton for a few years. Did most of my playing in London/Surrey, hence selling what I don't use any more. I also have a huge pre-Gibson Trace stack that I'm selling as I don't need it, nice as it is. Getting something much smaller instead.
11. Lots of views, no bites. Any particular reasons? No harm in letting me know.
12. I'm looking to sell my Warwick Streamer LX V. I don't want to get rid, but I hardly play it, and have never really 'clicked' with the 5 string. She needs someone to run their fingers all over her a little more than I do. I love her, so I'm letting her go. Candy red gloss, standard so far as I know apart from the addition of Warwick locking strap locks. Plays absolutely lovely, great tone, active or passive. As I said I don't want to get rid. Conditon I would rate the condition as very good for its age. I have had her over 5 years, and I bought her pre-loved, from another person who didn't click so well with the five string. The Head and the front of the body are in great condition. The back (and a bit on the sides) shows a little more of her age. There are a numnber of superficial scratches in the gloss (I'm sure they'll T-cut out ), but almost all of them are superficial only. There is a small thumbnail sized dent on the top by the front stratchlock, and the usual 'whoops, I missed' marks by the jack socket. There is one place by the back strap lock where the gloss has worn through - I guess from a strap rubbing. The previous owner said that there was a bit of an issue with the jack connector not always having the best connection, but I have NEVER experienced it - I use a Neutrik right angled jack and thread the lead through the strap - I double back the tail of the strap to avoid any rubbing resulting from this. I think she's worth £600 of anyone's money, and that's genuine, not 'I love her, I don't want to let her go, so I'm going to over-price her'. I also don't think that £600 is that much for a Streamer LX anyway. She is in MUCH better nick than the Jazzman up for sale here previously http://basschat.co.u..._1#entry1590891 and she's the five string. I have attached pics of her trying to show her as honestly as I can. Yes, I have photoshopped them, but to try and bring out the marks as clearly as I can. I am based in Alton, Hampshire, but am prepared to travel. I take the train to London (Waterloo, then London Bridge) every day, and am prepared to bring her in if I know I'm not going to have to take her home again - the ride home can be very busy indeed. I have a hard case which I would be willing to give with it if I get the £600. If not, I may be amenable to selling it along with. I am a little reticent to courier it, as there are horror stories out there of things breaking in transit, and insurance claims being long and totuous. Much as I don't want to part with her, I really don't want to give her away to someon who then breaks her neck!! If I can get decent recommendations of a decent courier company with a good insurance policy, I would consider it. I would be very very reluctant to courier it without the hard case. If its going mail order, I would prefer a bank transfer or postal order (but must be quite large fees on £600 worth) to PayPal. No rubber cheques please. Thanks for reading. I have now listed my Pre-Gibson Trace Elliot stack as well. 14.
As a thought you could get a normal shaped combo and get a stand that will put it at an angle
Any suggestions on a normal shaped combo for that money?
15. I've currently got a huge Trace stack that I no longer need, and its becoming harder and harder to justify having it, so I'm selling it. I want something small but punchy. I'm less bothered about the sound - I know that I am only ever going to replicate my Trace by buying another one, and that's not going to happen. I just want something decent sized, but punchy. Would quite like an angled thing, Budget is no more than £300, and only if I can get more than £600 for my stack (it includes an RAH600SMX). I want it for home and very small performance - small church. So, my first thoughts are a Behringer BLX3000. Decent power, sits at an angle, looks good. But there appears to be a whole load of haters out there. Is it really that rubbish, or is there a bit of name prejudice out there? Any others I should be looking at? How much better would a Hartke A100 be? And what's the real RMS power output on the BLX3000? Ta.
16. Hi, I'm Andy from Hampshire, not Spanish at all (French/Irish mix historically, but all English now), just like the phrase. Currently playing (but nowhere near enough) a P-Bass Lyte deluxe, a Warwick Streamer LX 5 (looking to sell) and using a pre-Gibson Trace rig (RAH600SMX with 1048H and a 1518, also looking to sell - too big and about 3 times what I need). And as soon as I have my computer up and running again, so I can take photos, I will be posting the above up in the selling section.
