  4. Sold Pending Usual .... Fender Japan Precision 1989 (serial J023058) Asking £450 sorry no trades sale only Really good condition few tiny marks - two small chips body bottom edge back Can include a gig bag . . . or a tatty but functional hard case for small bit more dosh Weighs 8.5 lbs on bathroom scales Neck was already shaved when I bought it, makes it play great but I just have to make some room All original to my knowledge except volume and tone knobs I'm in Horsham (close to Gatwick) would prefer pick up, can deliver locally, courier at buyers cost Cheers !
  5. Hey Karl really sorry to hear your bad story - hope you do get the dosh back - have a bump on me - even though I'm guessing you don't really wanna sell it
  6. Yes they were masked but there is some paint around outside parts, Never bothered me but should be easy enough to remove if an issue ?
  7. Sorry only just seen replies. The respray was a mate who usually does custom work (specialises in airbrush) Yes the Hoppus is amazing - I have 2 so I'm keeping one (shocking pink ) Still for sale . . .
  8. Price drop to £390 Fender Mark Hoppus - Mexico 2009 all original except body colour - I commissioned a professional respray to an amazing metallic dark purple. In mint condition has not left the house since it was resprayed - 2 hardly visible tin marks (too small to photograph) Plays and sounds amazing - I love these Hoppus signatures. £390 no trades, near Gatwick welcome to try.
  9. **SOLD** A Fender Japanese Jazz Special - the original Duff McKagan model. In black and serial number dates it to 1984-7. Plays and sounds great. Carries some knocks from previous owner but none affect structure or playability - all are to body - the neck and head are not marked. Mainly 3 large chips to finish on bottom edge of body (all 3 have been painted in black) and 2 cracks on front lower body near the control knobs. Pix show them. This is a very cool used and gigged bass with massive character. The tone pot doesn't seem to work so that will need a repair (may even be a loose wire). Comes with an additional pair of p/ups which came with it when I bought it. **SOLD**
  10. SOLD Gibson EBO 1963 (serial = 112862) bought 3 years ago from Andy Baxter Bass on a bit of a whim but don't play it as I'm a P man. Has a bass nut and a small hole near the jack socket has been repaired by a small dowel. In fantastic condition (better than me and I'm the same age ) Plays great and loads of Gibson bottom end Non-original hard case. £830, I'm near Gatwick.
  11. Argh a YOB bass for me - very nice - please stop tempting me !
  12. Yeah that's why I wondered Thanks very much mate !
  13. Thanks very much indeed ! I will look into the TBX - do you know if it is the same for this bass as the TBX used for guitars too (strats etc) ?
  14. I have a Fender Jazz Special (Japanese 1984-87) - think it's the same as the original 'Duff'. The tone pot doesn't work - also I'm not sure if it is original. Currently it has a centre detent pot and looks like it is wired to the 3 way pup selector switch - so my assumption is it is somehow to blend between the 2 pups . . . bit of a guess as it doesn't do anything when turned. It also has 2 volume pots (one per pup) which both work fine. Does anyone know what the original wiring for the tone pot is for one of these please ? I'd like to repair it ready for selling. Cheers, Mark.
