I've had my Squier VMJ 5 for a while now and for the money it's great value. Plenty of variety in tone available for a passive bass and the build quality is impressive (has a nice natural finish)! You could do a lot worse for the money in my opinion. Andy

I've been playing for just over 10 years and I'm currently playing in a Rock/Indie cover band (we've got our first couple of gigs in the next few months). My current gear consists of a Musicman Stingray 4 H/H and a Squier VMJ 5 through and Aguilar Tonehammer 500 and a Barefaced Compact cab. I've been stuck in my comfort zone for a good few years now and have recently decided to push myself to learn new things and improve, hoping joining the forum will provide some inspiration. Mainly into Rock, Indie, Hip Hop, Alternative and Motown although always open to exploring new genres.
