1. Hi kev
Fancy this!!! have PM;D you- LEE

I know people say that a guitar cable is a guitar cable, but I challenge anyone to try this against any other make, and not hear a difference.

This is as new, and has had studio use only, it's 15ft long.

http://www.evidenceaudio.com//product.html

This is in perfect condition, I've just bought a Vovox cable, and I have a Zaolla that I use for gigging, so this is a bit redundant.

£35 including postage.

Hi all
Some stuff to tickle your tonebuds

ELECTRO HARMONIX QTRON+ -- This pedal was co designed by the guy who created the famous mutron, its just pure funk!!!
it has the FX loop built in so you can pug in your OC2 or Octabass and get moog heaven, is
in great nick as was bought new but not used very much, Its in a sturdy wooden box and comes with its own power supply, will cost about £10 to deliver, so id like £75 (incl delivery).

APHEX 1402 BASS EXCITER -- This is the pedal version with optical BIG BOTTOM!!!!!! it targets certain
freqencies at both ends of the spectrum and sublely enhances them, i used this on the ships to clean up some very horrible old amps so it became known as my turd polisher, i dont really need it now ive my lovely Ebs amp, it also has a built in DI and the effect can be sent or the di'd signal dry, its one of those things you dont really notice it until you turn it off and your sound deflates, it works particularly well with ashdown stuff ive found.
Quite expensive when they came out (i paid about £115) they are a lot cheaper now though,

you can have this for £40 (incl delivery) SOLD!!!!

BEHRINGER VINTAGE PHASER -- Its basically a copy of the Electro harmonix small stone, cheap as chips but does
"The colour of money" thing , gimmie £15 (incl delivery)

Just a bit of a spring clean hope they can make someone happy, thanks for looking-LEE

3. Hi rich
I have pm,d you

Okay folks, quick update

The Eden is now at it's new home, with 'chenzo_1' from the forum, who is, incidentally, a really nice chap - very helpful and friendly!

The Accu cabs are now open to offers... I'd rather they both went to the same home, but will split for the right figure...

As mentioned previously, I can deliver them for petrol cost.

4. I completely agree!!
The few times ive went there(making a special trip as well) i spent money but was treat with complete indifference, even completely ignored while staff chatted in the back room, i had to go in and ask to pay for something, i remember an article about it and they went on about how pride themselves on customer service but i havent seen that, it is a shame theyve had to close because there arnt too many bass specific shops in this country but im not really going to miss it (the first time i went was at wapping and it was very diffrent funny that!!!)
never mind theres always basschat.
L

Well I won't be shedding any tears. Sounds harsh, but the few times I went in there I swore I'd never go back. The service wasn't just indifferent, it was bordering on being rude. As has already been mentioned - if their website doesn't improve pretty sharpish - they'll be finished, which can only be a good thing for all the shops/websites who do make the extra effort for their customers :)

5. Hi mark
Ihad absolutley no idea howard had a heart attack, im glad hes pulled through, i remember the first time i met him 15 years ago i was only 18 and had no money and the tuning peg had snapped on my old ibanez musician leaving me with three strings( and i didnt know how to play with three only knew a few scale positions) and he replaced them all and charged me a couple of quid, he worked from home then too, he's such a star and i do miss him, all my basses are a bit worse for wear these days, he kept them in great nick for a long time.
It was great for meeting other players too, although i dont live there anymore newcastles lost a unique (ciggy smelling) hub for the local bass community, glad hes still working though as il call him next time im in toon. give pete my best mate heres to howard- All the best - LEE

If you want to get in touch howard is now trading as the "Bass Doctor" you can contact him on 07977 688229
He is doing all the same bass repairs builds etc.
If you need to get in touch with Howards right hand man PETE give me a PM as I play in a little trio with him

Fantastic sound but doesnt fit in the pedalboard anymore (too many pedals) would trade for an EBS IQ or a decent onboard eq (audere, aguilar obp, j retro)
Thanks for looking-LEE ( SOLD!!!!)

8. Bump

Some have a funny idea of what used gear is worth. I used to help out at my local music shop as they had no bass players on the staff, until the owner put the VAT man's money up his nose. Trade price then was about 50% of retail and the difference funded the cost of the shop.

This means that I am usually happy to sell stuff for about half what I paid for it and thats why I let my Neo cabs go for what some may consider less than they were worth and allowed Steve to sell his Proline for enough to fund the deal. I dont usually move stuff on quick and I had the Neo's for a while so it did not seem unreasonable.

If people have to move stuff on quick it is the price you pay for buying the wrong gear. Sorry, thats li

9. Hi G
Still interested in your cab as soon as i sell mine ill be in touch, all the best -LEE

hi Steve, West London, but I do get around a bit on the odd occasion, esp to north and south Wales... although I'm not planning any imminent trips, if it all worked out and was mutually convenient I could deliver for FREE, and in fact I'd even offer a weekend "loan" on approval with a cash surety my way of course :)

Otherwise you'll have to come and pick it up.

cheers

14. Hi steve
Thanks for the reply, i totally misworded that ,it did sound like i was blaming you, and your right your s was a fantastic price someone did get a bargain, my apologies to you i didnt mean to cause offence, its the usual thing when you buy something new you can never expect to get anywhere near what you paid for it only what someones willing to pay.
Once again my sincere apologies, ill think before i typoe next time.

Lee,

I wouldn't normally respond to this thread as what you sell a cab for is your business but I am the guy who recently sold the EBS cab. I don't want to derail your thread but you seem to be blaming me for the fact that EBS used prices aren't great.

I bought my cab off eBay second hand 12 months ago for £350.00. I tried to sell it for the same price and had no interest. I then dropped the price to £320.00 and sold it quickly. There is one on eBay now with a start price of £350.00. Anyone with half a brain who sees your advert would check eBay so I don't think I am out of order by pointing this out.

I feel that these cabs are worth a lot more and if yours is in exceptional condition you may get what you want for it and I hope you do but I certainly haven't set a precedent for giving EBS gear away.

It is a great cab and I wish you all the best with your sale because someone will be very happy with it.

Thanks

Steve

15. Hi pete
Thanks mate, yeah its a shame as im in bolton so it wouldnt have been a pain to get to you, ive got a load of EBS stuff and im a big fan, the cab sounds fantastic but as i said im only playing theatre gigs 4 or 5 times a year at the mo and its too big (not that the cabs are big, just really small pits) and the sound is a bit too butch for some musical theatre, i do play with a rock band with some mates but only once a ,month.
Someone recently sold an ebs cab for nothing recently and i feel hes set a precedant which is a shame as mines practically brand new and im not prepared to give it away as i need the cash to buy another accugroove (im using a tri110 its great) mind you your right neo is the way forward.
As for the streamer i am thinking of selling it,its an old one but needs a trip to the bass docter as its not well im fairly new to the north west being a geordie so if you could recommend a good tech/luthier it would be really appreciated, ill keep you posted as ive loads of great gear i may be getting rid of as im about to become a dad forthe 1st time, but i'd rathwr keep it all and buy even more, ha ha.
Thanks for the message pete, stay in touch mate-LEE

I invested in a brand new Neo setup a few weeks ago, otherwise I would have been seriously interested. I'm sure there's a 2 x 12 going on here or eBay too. That'd be a nice pair to combine with a TD650 if someone was looking. Great sounding equipment.

If you're considering selling your Streamer, just to give you an idea, I sold mine a few weeks ago for £500. I let it go cheaper than I maybe should've done, but I needed to recoup my splash out on my EBS rig.

Cheers,
Pete.

16. KEEP LOOKING GUYS IM OPEN TO OFFERS!!!!!!!

What a coincidence i was going to call howard and ask for your no , Shame about howards shop he was never in whenever i called or if i came home and popped in.
I know what you mean about the EBS and im quite surprised the guy let it go for£350 (time was i wouldve took his arm off) but i think its worth more than that and will stand by my price. I am after an accugroove though as i have a tri 110 and its great for the theatre gigs im doing but i need another for the rock band im in. Ill send you a PM with my Email on mate, coz i think your a star and not many people know more about gear than yourself, so it would be great to stay in touch ( ive only just discovered this site i love it).
As for the Streamer another coincidence, i do still have it and i am considering selling it, as ive just found out im going to become a dad, MR warwickhunt (great name) was selling a blue version and it didnt go though a shame i thought it was lovely. So i may be in touch.
KEEP in touch mate great to hear from you, all the best-LEE

BTW Howards shop is now closed.
another BTW do you still have the tinted red Streamer I put you onto the last time we met in Howards?
I think the original owner Mr "Warwickhunt" on here was trying to trace its location.
All he best

Hi all!
Up for a very reluctant sale is my EBS cab, most of you guys will be aware of how great this stuff is so i dont have to waffle on too much!(specs 800watts at 4 ohms)

Its in great condition as i bought it new then went off cruising for ages as a result its not been used that much, since i came home ive only been doing tiny theatre pit gigs and its far too big to fit in them (theres usually about a dozen players crammed in like sardines).

The sound is amazing totally transparent with a great warm sound and punchy as hell i use it with the td 650 head and the combination is very special, great for slap, fingerstyle you name it, ive played most styles with this thing, but as i said its too big and needs to be used properly as im only tickling it.

I am open to trades particularly small neodymium cabs like accugroove tri 110 , 112, 115 , 210 or EBS neo 110, 112
let me know if your interested.

The retail on these things is approx £900 this could be yours for £350 subject to collection from Bolton lancs, i cant use this on my gigs so i wantit to go to a good home its a great cab and now at a very good price. thanks for looking-LEE

Let me know what you think i know its not what you had in mind.- all the best-LEE
